Hiya! I make an appearance on the blog from time to time but mostly work behind the scenes to keep things running.

Clear Up Your Acne

It's happened to everyone. You wake up horrified to see that a zit has sprouted on your face overnight. Worst of all, no matter what you do, it isn't going to disappear in an instant and make up can only help so much. What you can do to expedite the process is use an acne treatment.

Top Searched Acne Treatments on AOL:
1. Proactiv
2. Accutane
3. Murad
4. Benzaclin
5. Epiduo
6. Differin
7. Tazorac
8. Retin-A
9. Vibramycin
10. Phisoderm

Everybody's skin is different, so what works for your best friend might not work for you. To add to the confusion, there are a ton of different creams, pills and medications that all claim to be fast acting acne treatments. You might have to try a few different treatments before you find one that shows results on your skin. Beware though, don't stress your skin out more by trying a bunch of new acne treatments at once. That might just make things worse.

In a perfect world, acne solutions would help clear up the acne you already have while preventing future break outs, but that isn't always possible. Your acne is caused by tons of different factors, including stress, hormones, bacteria and genetics. One treatment can't tackle all of the causes, so each works in different ways.

Topping our list of the topped searched acne treatments on AOL Search is Proactiv. You have probably seen the infomercials with celebrities talking about how well it works. Their system has several different steps to help cure acne using a topical treatment. Beware of the second most searched acne treatment, Accutane. The acne drug was taken off the U.S. market for reasons including extreme side effects.

If you are really serious about being acne free and you're not just looking for a quick fix, visit a dermatologist for a prescription acne medication. The most searched of these is Differin, a topical gel that helps prevent blocked pores. Other acne remedies include acne pills, such as Vibramycin, the ninth most searched treatment.

Dave-In-A-Box

David Arquette, 37, is channeling his inner David Blaine for a charitable cause. The 'Scream' actor and Courtney Cox's hubby will live in a Plexiglas box above Madison Square Garden on Tuesday and Wednesday. His public display will raise hunger awareness and $250,000 for Feeding America, a national domestic hunger relief charity. Between his eight-hour daily stints in the cube, Arquette will be able to eat.

Ironically enough, Mars, Inc., the company that makes Snickers, is sponsoring Arquette's effort to raise money. Visit their Facebook page to make a donation to the cause.

Further Your Education

No matter which degree program you are pursuing -- associate, bachelor, masters, or doctorate -- there is a school out there for you. Now you just have to find the right one. Check out our list of the top searched universities for some ideas on what other prospective students are searching for.

Top Searched Universities on AOL:

1. Harvard University
2. University of Florida
3. Columbia University
4. Penn State
5. Florida State University
6. UCLA
7. NYU
8. Villanova University
9. Duke University
10. Brown University

Choosing a university or college is a very exciting and frustrating time for both students and parents. Prospective students flip through dozens of pamphlets, scan statistics and college course catalogs, chat with student academic services and still can't make up their mind at the end of the day. Parents take their kids on campus tours and offer them unwanted advice on the top colleges. Ultimately, the choice is all up to the student and it is a hard one to make.

Still, there are more questions to consider when searching for a university education that can't always be answered with a campus tour. Do you want a public or private school? Which majors do they offer (check out our list of the Top Searched College Majors)? Can you get in with your GPA and SAT score? And, most importantly, of all the great schools, which is right for you?

It can be very hard for a young student to leave the nest. This makes location another important factor in choosing a college. Our list is narrowed down to U.S. schools only, but there are also thousands of universities across the globe. Just as many Americans go overseas to study, a lot of international students travel to the United States for their education. 'Harry Potter' starlet Emma Watson will be attending a U.S. college in the fall, possibly Brown University, number 10 on our list. Don't want to travel too far from home? Check out our list of the Top Searched Online Colleges.

Which college did you attend, or hope to attend? Let us know! Search for more colleges and universities on AOL Search.
