My wireless phone contract ends in August. That means I get to shop for a new phone ... woohoo! The iPhone is super nice, but I don't think I want to spend more than $500 on a phone. I know, it's more than just a phone, but I already have a video iPod and the only times I've ever used Internet on my phone are to find movie times and phone numbers of local restaurants.I played around with my friend's BlackBerry Pearl and I like that it's sleek and compact. But I'm not sure if I could get used to the double letters on each key pad. I'm accustomed to a full-size key pad, so I've been spoiled. I guess as it gets closer to August, I'll check out cell phones in more detail. In the meantime, I'll do some window shopping and research online.
So help a girl out here, I need some ideas! When June 29 comes around, will you be one of the first people to get the iPhone? What cell phone do you have and how do you like it? Or, what's on your wish list for cell phones? This week's top searched cell phones and smart phones on AOL Search:
1) iPhone
2) BlackBerry
3) Sidekick iD
4) Sidekick 3
5) BlackBerry Pearl
6) BlackBerry Curve
7) Treo
8) Nokia N95
9) Treo 755
10) Samsung BlackJack

Why don't the manufacturers let the phone be a phone instead of trying to turn a phone into something else.By the time you want to make that important call your battery may be gone.$500 for a phone?I'll get me a laptop.Ridiculous. http://rn4state.bryxen1.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=SEO

Anyone in the market for a new cell phone and their contract is up or within 3 months from being up should check out www.mylightyear.net/hummer. They have over 75 free phones to choose from and will be offering the Apple iPhone as well (not free). We are an authorized dealer for all the major providers. We also offer our own Voice over internet service as well as Direct TV and Dish Network. We offer high speed internet through most major providers.

Go to MyProductAdvisor.com its the way I bought a phone and a car... and I have never been happier with either. I am not bound to that site in any way, I just love it. Good luck with your search...

I know I am a Dinosaur as far as cell phones, I want the simplest one there is. I still feel cell phones are only for emergency and that's it.

Give me the Nokia N95 any day. May not be as flashy as the IPhone, but it does MUCH more than either the IPhone or the Curve. It's another innovative stealth much like the Nokia 6600 was when it was released years ago as one of the first smartphones. The N95 really is a computer. It would be worth buying an infrared keyboard or a bluetooth or foldable cloth keyboard for.

Just got the Motorola Maxx Ve and love it. The numbers are big, and the display showing who's calling is large enough to read without my reading glasses. A plus for those over 40.

I was once against expensive phones until my girlfriend gave me a $750.00 Treo 700 as a christmas present. I use the internet, the camera to send pictures for work claims, I use my calandar, I listen to Ibooks when I am waiting in line, I listen to music, I browse family photos, and talk to my friends. All wrapped up in my pda phone, my palm treo. I would pay $1000.00 for a phone that is more convienient then my current phone; and I will surely lay down the money for the new IPhone when it is available.

What???????? Blogging about a stupid cell phone choice??? What the hell is wrong with this country? Who the hell cares! The world is having a major crisis. This country is under threat of becoming Fascist and you are preoccupied with a damned phone??
You will be begging for water at the rate we are going. Shame on you for not spending your time on more important issues.

Treo 680 = perfect phone. It is very affordable especcially considering what it can do: email, internet, music, movies, microsoft documents, camera, ebooks, voice memo. But the greatest feature is the thousands of third party programs you can download that give the treo countless great features. you can turn your phone into a dictionary, card reader, or video game console.

Only one choice for me... the Jitterbug! Big, lighted buttons, padded earpiece, loudness control and speakerphone, asks "Yes?" or 'No?" for each command, easy to see and easy to use, and best of all, it calls in and calls out; no stupid extras like pictures, text messaging, etc. Just a phone and a damn good one.

iPhone is a rip-off...
who the hell needs a phone that does all that? a cell phone is for (AT MOST):
1. Calling
2. Pictures/Video
3. Music
who the hell needs to go on a battery-draining web browser?
get a damn COMPUTER!
and i agree with Andrea, we're on the verge of becoming Fascist!
