My favorite memories as a little girl are of my family getting a beach house in Sandbridge Beach in Virginia. I knew that no matter what, every year my extended family would be together for one week out of the summer and I always looked forward to it. After hours of sun and sand , we would settle in for dinner and intense rounds of Mario Kart where I insisted on being Princess Peach (woohoo!)
Things changed as I grew up and it became harder to get the family together. I have been looking at taking a beach trip with some of my friends so I thought it would be a good idea to see what vacation rentals people were looking at on AOL Search. The Outer Banks (another personal favorite of mine) tops the list. It is followed by Florida and Myrtle Beach vacation homes.
Do you have any suggestions about the best vacation rental spots? If not, try searching for vacation rentals on AOL Search or check out travel deals on AOL Travel.

Cape San Blas in the panhandle of FL is my favorite beach with high white sand dunes and green water. Try leasing in Barrier Dunes, gated community with pools and tennis courts. We have "Shore 'Nuff" , a townhouse that is listed with VRBO. It is a wonderful area for shelling, fishing and beachwalking, east of Panama City near Port St. Joe.

Jumby Bay, a private island a boats ride from Antiqua is the most serene island. No cars, no telephones, you have a hut to a couple on the beach, you can walk the whole island, or bike it, there are goats that roam wild. The only noise you hear is the waves or Robin Leach. He owns a home there. It is very comparable price wise when you add up all the groceries and amenities that you purchase after you travel to North Carolina. I am not knocking Nags Head or anywhere on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, but dollar for dollar you get heaven at Jumby Bay. Any day, any hour you can have anything you want anywhere. There is someone always there to serve/wait on you and they are very friendly also. Jumby Bay, all inclusive.
