As it gets closer to June 29, I think more and more about getting an iPhone. Do I want it? Yes. Do I need it? No. So the responsible side of my brain convinced me not to get it and stick with my Sidekick 3, which I still love! Although I've been thinking about BlackBerry Pearl lately. Well, that's another story.Anyway, I'm pretty good with holding back on impulse buying for electronics and gadgets. I waited several weeks before I waited in line in a 15 degree weather for a Nintendo Wii. My local electronics store only had 15 Wii sets to give away and I was number 14 ... was I lucky or what? But once in a while, I get the urge to either get a brand new gadget just for fun. I was cleaning up my home office the other day and I found at least three Palm Pilots and four iPods from the past few years. Hey, that was then. On my wish list right now is a camcorder.
How about you? What's on your wish list for electronics and gadgets? Do you think the iPhone is really worth buying? Check out more gadgets on Switched.

4. I think the i-phone is really cool but really over priced. I was saving for it and expected to pay the $500 but $60 a month is to much.

5. I absolutely love gadgets, anything to make life easier and speedier. Here is my opinion:
1. IPhone: IWait, the phone has great features however, here is another expensive phone and no solution to protect that big touch screen. Damage to this phone is too easy.
2. GPS: One of the best technology invented! No more back seat or front seat drivers, these gizmos get you were you need to go. Garmin & Magellins Maestro run the roads!
3. Computers: I am always upgrading! I want to get fast results when I search the web or multi task without slowing down my computer. Flat screen monitor to make room and at least a 2G memory and 356 hard drive to hold windows vista premium and have some play room!
4. Ipod: Absolutley love it! No more bulky cd player that skips when I jog and the kids can listen to their music while you drive to some Frank Sinatra.
5. Cell Phones: The choice of style with cellular companies is riddiculous! TMobiles Sidekick 3 is the grooviest thing I have seen.
6. Digital Cameras: Fabulous! You can never take enough pictures! Who cares who stares at you! Live, Take Pictures and Remember! Please note that for regular picture taking, 7.0 megapixels are great and take quality photos. Anything above 7.0 is for professional enlarged photos like that of the Mona Lisa painting or movie poster.
7. Nintendo Wii: I use to love Nintendo, but they just keep comming out with children games! The graphics do not impress me nor is their choice of games appealing Its great for anyone under 15 years old. Playstation 3 is on my wish list!
8. PSP: Great for travel and keeps the kids occupied, however, it is still kinda pricey! Not a necessity.
9. TV: Forget plasma or the old prehistoric projection, bulbs are too costly on the projection and the plasma sets off too much glare. Go with the LCD.
10. Blackberry: Very nice professional phone, however, if you want a speedy one, expect to pay anywhere from $300-$500.

8. I got a backspacecase. I'm a software architect and find having an accessible place for my designs very helpful. Not sure what John is talking about. I didn't see any evidence of keyloggers or viruses on the site. Not sure of John's motivations for posting that. Hate those trolls.
