I recently pulled rankings for top searched health concerns and wow, was I surprised to see what people searched for!Health concerns are certainly no laughing matter. However, I thought it'd be interesting to show the top searched health topics that people generally don't talk about. Check it out for yourself and you'll see what I mean.
If you happen to have any of the health concerns listed below, you probably talk to your close friends and your doctor (I really hope you do talk to your doctor!) about them. However, it's extremely rare that they make it in your casual conversations. Can you imagine strolling into the office one morning and when your cube neighbor asks a polite "How are you?" you respond with, "Fine, thanks. Except for the [fill in your health concern here] that I just got diagnosed with!" Can we say awkward?
Anyway, if you're diagnosed with any of the health concerns below, or if you're just curious to see what they're all about, the Internet is a great thing. Hello, privacy! Go to AOL Body or search for these topics on AOL Search, such as depression symptoms, STD testing and hair restoration.
AOL's top searched health concerns that you don't talk about from this week:
1. Depression
2. HPV
3. Yeast infection
4. Genital warts
5. Genital herpes
6. Urinary tract infection
7. AIDS
8. Constipation
9. Erectile dysfunction
10. Hair loss

41. Depression is a very serious illiness. I know I have suffered for years and yes I`m getting help. If you haven`t been in depression as an illiness then you really don`t realize how serious this is.

42. many times you can get blood in your stool after you have had a baby or when your body is going through weight changes. sometimes stress or eating the wrong kinds of foods can get blood in your stool. the only time to actually run to the doctor and spend all day in the ER is if blood is just going non stop. many times people have aliments from being isolated and inside too much festering away. go outside, take a walk, take care of yourself, drink water and be around positive people. sometimes if you are unforgiving and angry and hateful you will be sick and tired all the time. drink a little wine, enjoy your life and forgive your enemies. because being unforgiving is like drinking poison and wishing the other person to die.

44. Nora- You should get a second, third and even fourth opinion. Don't stop until you find a Dr. that is willing to refer you to a Neurosurgeon for removal of the pituitary tumor. I'd also question the multiple tumors of the other endocrine glands. You can go to cushingshelp.com. My wife had her pituitary tumor removed endoscopically by Dr. Hahyr Shahinian at Cedar Sinai. He is awesome. No incision and she was out of the hospital in 24 hrs. Go to skullbaseinstitute.com. Good luck

46. Nora,
If waiting until the one tumor gets bigger really worries you, get a second opinion. The doctor probably has a reason to want to wait and another if another doctor agrees with waiting, it should give you some peace of mind about it. I'll be praying for you. God Bless!

48. Nora, If waiting until the one tumor gets bigger really worries you, get a second opinion. I'm sure there's a valid reason the doctor wants to wait and if another doctor agrees with the first opinion, it should give you some peace of mind about it. I'll be praying for you. God Bless!

49. SYMDRAD, THANK YOU - I WILL LOOK INTO THESE. I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SHARING. AS TO HAVING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE - ABSOLUTELY. THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT BEING AROUND POSITIVE PEOPLE AND LAUGHING HELPS RELEASE ALL THOSE GOOD ENDORPHINES.
I HAVE TO ADMIT - GOING TO CLASSMATES.COM HAS BEEN THE BEST THING I'VE DONE FOR MYSELF. I WAS FUN AND HAD A LOT OF FRIENDS. THEY WRITE AND CALL. WE DON'T DISCUSS ILLNESS. I ALSO TRY TO SOUND UP. WHO'D CALL BACK IF I DIDN'T? AT LEAST IT REMINDS ME THAT I WAS A GOOD PERSON AND I WAS THE ONE WHO NEVER DRANK OR DID THE DRUGS. I WAS HIGH ON LIFE. I NEED TO FIND A WAY TO GET OUT MORE.

50. I am a retired RN with a masters in nursing and another in education. Two issues that are not usually mentioned to doctors are Urinary Stress Incontinence and the other that is almost never mentioned are symptoms related to a Rectocele. I am not going to post a long thesis on this two subjects but you can research them on the Net. I am very concerned about the Rectocele because like ED had been in the past.........Rectoceles are rarely mentioned to patient by doctors and women think they are the only person on earth with this problem.

51. To # 20
I had a tumor in my parotid gland. The doctors were going to run more tests to see what was up...I told them to remove it. I have two small children who need me (4yrs & 8 yrs...at the time of the tumor they were (10 months old & 3yrs) if it was the start of something or even if it were nothing at the time I was scared and had it removed. The surgery wasn't bad, took approx 2 weeks to recover. Find out more from your doctors, research online. I jumped the gun and just went right away with the surgery option because of my kids. I was afraid it would turn into something else if I just played the "wait & see " game. Talk to people who know what they are talking about, your doctor.

52. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but sometimes hair loss is the result of a thyroid malfunction. A simple blood test will determine if your thyroid is functioning properly.

54. Nora- You should seek additional oppinions. You can find info on Cushingshelp.com. My wife had a pituitary tumor removed endoscopically by Dr. Shahinian at Cedar Sinai. She was out of the hosp in 24 hrs and no incision. He is awesome, also in bedside manner. His web site is skullbaseinstitute.com. Don't stop until you get help. And don't let them tell you to wait and see. My wife would have not survived if we would have listened to the first 10 endocrinologist. Its a difficult field, but not many competetent Drs.

56. Hey Nick, you're right about the Fibromyalgia. Even some medical people refuse to understand it. I know, I'm a retired RN.

57. Nora-Please get other opinions. Even micro-adenomas of the pituitary gland can be fatal, regardless of what most endocrinologist may tell you. My wife almost died from one. Her surgeon was Dr. Shahanian at Cedar Sinai in LA. He is awesome and there was no incision. It can be removed endoscopically through the nasal cavity. She was out of the hospital in 24 hours. Multiple endocrine tumors would be rare. They may be just hypertrophy (benign enlargement). Dr. Theodore Friedman is an excellent endocrinologist, he is also in LA,You can find more info on cushingshelp.com and skullbaseinstitute.com. You must be aggressive in seeking health care. Its your life, not theirs and most of them seem not to care. It took 9 years to find a Dr.who took my wife's problems seriously. Don't give up.

59. It is possible that people searching for information about these ailments have already been diagnosed and are seeking to learn more than what their doctor has already told them. Computer data should not replace seeking medical treatment, but can compliment the treatment given.
