July is a big month for Potterheads. The movie 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' was released on July 11th and the final book, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,' will be released on July 21st. I don't consider myself a true Potterhead. I've read every book and seen every movie, but I don't stand in line at a movie theater or at a bookstore at midnight on the release day ... with costumes! Anyway, there's nothing wrong with that, I just prefer to pre-order my book online and see the movie the weekend after it comes out.
Just for fun, I checked out what people search for anything related to 'Harry Potter' on AOL Search. It's no surprise that many people search for general terms, movie titles and book titles, such as 'Harry Potter,' 'Harry Potter' books, 'Harry Potter' movies, 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' and 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.' So I took these 5 terms out of the list and now we're left with these top 10:

2. 'Harry Potter' costumes
3. 'Harry Potter' spoilers
4. 'Harry Potter' games
5. 'Harry Potter' cast
6. 'Harry Potter' wands
7. 'Harry Potter' quiz
8. 'Harry Potter' theme park
9. 'Harry Potter' characters
10. 'Harry Potter' posters
I can't believe that people actually search for 'Harry Potter' wands (yep, it's number 6). Other interesting things that people search for but didn't make the top 10 list include 'Harry Potter' spells and 'Harry Potter' recipes. Some people get into the stories so much that they forget Harry Potter is a character and the books are fiction. Seriously, are you really trying to practice Occlumency in case your ex pulls a Legilimency on you?Well, whatever you believe, I can't deny that 'Harry Potter' is fun to read and to watch. It's also been fun seeing the actors and actresses grow up on the big screen. I'm sad that the final installation of the series is almost here, so I guess I'll be back to reading books intended for adults after July 21st!

It is wonderful that she has gotten children to READ, so I'm thankful for the books she has written and I hope that she will begin a new series now that will get those same millions of children wanting to read and improve their lives. EDUCATION and the ability to read are mandatory for a strong world.

2. You know, I am glad they have a reason to read too but my kids really don't read these books. It's more my husband and I that stand in line at midnight to grab the books and watch the movies. The books have given me something to read again. All I find on the book shelves is murder mysteries and they get old after awhile. I sure hope she continues to write even if it isn't Harry Potter.

4. Don't get me wrong: I absolutely love 'Harry Potter'. However, I think that people can get really obsessed. Its a fictional world. You don't need to dress up in costume to get the book. Its not like they'll lower the price for the best Hermione costume that walks in the door. So chill, people. You can love the book. You can get it at midnight. You can see the movie the day it comes out. But obsessing really isn't cool. *And thats the end of my little rant. Have a nice day.*

6. Yeah, I am a potterhead, although I dont go in costume. So not cool. I love the books and Jk deserves a Nobel Prize for being one of the sole reasons responsible for the literacy of my generation. THANK YOU JK!

9. i grew up with these books and i have always loved them. im really sad that this is going to be the end in a few days, but im really, really excited to see what happens!!

10. Ok...I read the books and i'll be dragged to the movie. But let me tell you those people are insane all dressed up in costumes standing outside a bookstore at midnight. People get so caught up in fiction, they think its reality. I mean, a little kid I understand, but 30 year old men and women...that's just scary

12. Actually Pumpkin, JKR never said she would stop writing period. She said that she wouldn't be writing any more Harry Potter books. However, she did mention that she probable will continue writing once her phenomenal series has ended, but under a penname.

14. I am in my fiftys and have always been a devout reader, very large genre, The Harry Potter books have given me hours and hours of reading time, I get something out of each book that I missed the time before.
But, it's time to end, to go on. I do hope Rowling continues to write. My passion for Harry Potter and group has been sated, life goes on. Good work Ms. Rowling.

16. Of Course Rowling isn't the only great author out there. What about Christopher Paolini? That Eragon Inheritance Trilogy is awesome!
By the way Pumpkin, She did say that Harry Potter is done,(I mean come on, what would the eighth book be called, Harry Potter and the Mid-life Crisis?) but she will continue writing, although not using a pen name because it will be easily discovered. Personally when I read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, I thought she was a dude. I was blind.
