You've seen their commercials with the slogan "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." Is that really true? I don't know because I've never been to Las Vegas. What's wrong with me? I always manage to avoid going there for some reason. Whenever I go on a vacation, I usually end up at a Caribbean beach.I decided to put Las Vegas as one of the places I'd like to visit and started a list of things to do while I'm there. I love Cirque du Soleil, so going to see one of their shows is a must. Of course there are David Copperfield and Celine Dion shows. I'm not into Celine Dion's music, but as an avid 'So You Think You Can Dance' viewer, I'll put her show in my list of performances to go to so I can see Mia Michaels' choreographed dance. Of course, there are always shopping and the casinos.
While doing my research on traveling to Las Vegas, I pulled top searches for Las Vegas to see if there's anything I should add to my list of to-dos while I'm there. I think I'll skip No. 9, thank you. Is there anything else that should've made the list?

1. If you are a teen - about 26 (ot older if you like alternative rock/emo/rock/underground music) an AWESOME place to go is Jillian's of Las Vegas and see a concert there. Its on the corner of Fremont near the "Largest Pint in the World". I suggest seeing the local Vegas bands to get a taste of what the scene is like.

2. Las Vegas reminds me of a used up old whore trying to get business by putting on way too much make up. It is a very tacky city. The desert is beautiful the city is skanky.

5. Vegas is a great place for great entertainment. It's a great change from the small city life. I't not all about gambling, the night life is great, the concerts, the spas, the shows, the food, the scenery, different people, everything for excitement all in one strip.

8. Vegas is all of the above, it just depends on what you want to choose to look at. You dont have to look hard to see the filthy neighborhoods that surround some of the luxurious casinos, or the homeless person sitting on a curb when you are out for an early morning walk...or how about my favorite...all the people lining streets slapping the flyers in their hands to get your attention about sex services...do I still make an occasional trip there? Yup!!!

9. Las Vegas is an awesome place. If you enjoy Elton John, see him at Ceasar's, but beware there is some "strange" visuals. Not a show for children or "prudish" people. Another great show is "Menopause, the Musical" at the Hilton. That's a show I would pay to see again. It is hysterical!

11. Las Vegas Strip is great! but you have to see the other side of it. Visit Henderson area, where Andrea Bocelli had a concert "Amore" Under the Desert Sky! get a DVD @ Barnes & Noble, Yup it's in the Lake Las Vegas Resort. What I like here is for those who wanted some "family vacation", stay in Ritz, paddle in the Lake, you can also stay in Loews (former) Hyatt--Wow, great view and Golf Courses, also visit Tuscany Village and Golf (great Golf Course)- I live here!..then shop till drop at The District, gamble at Green Valley Casino, shop again at Talbot, Anthropologie, Ann Taylor, JJill, visit the Elephat Bar then stay in the afternoon for a concert..........then have dinner in PF Changs or Cheesecake Factory of just take home a variety of great food from Whole Foods, then retire at 10pm
Enjoy from your "Locals"

12. I go to Vegas from the east coast at least twice a year. There is no city like it. I have been to all the name shows, and some 3 to 4 times. The cirque show at at Treasure Island is my favorite, and Danny Gans is a must see at the Mirage. There is no city like it. I'm glad its a five hour flight, or I would be there every month !!

13. the desert is not only beautiful but home to area 51.
it is about an hour away and well worth the drive.
you can't get too close but you can go to rachel- the nearest town and stop in their bar/diner and buy some really cool ufo souvenirs.
i've been many places but this was one of my favorites.

14. My boyfriend & I went out 2 years ago and it was the greatest. We did not gamble much, maybe $20.00, because there was so much other stuff to do. I would recommend doing ALL of the rides on top of the Stratosphere!!
