nd did not care about the brand. Revlon, Cover Girl, whatever... as long as it did the job. Then everything changed. One of my college roommates revealed her makeup artillery. It consisted of luscious Mac brushes, smooth Smashbox eye shadows and Bobbi Brown bronzer that was to die for. And this was just the tip of the iceberg. I had no idea that makeup could be so fun!
So I started my own collection. Over the years I have become brand loyal to a few cosmetics companies. I love MAC eye shadow and their StudioFix line. Smashbox and Benefit are also great. Oh, and Chanel makes a seriously fab lip gloss.
There have to be other people out there who love makeup as much as I do. So I thought it would be fun to check out the brands people were looking for on AOL Search. MAC tops off our list and is followed by Mary Kay. I've heard mixed reviews on Bare Minerals but I have not tried it. I have never heard of E.L.F. Cosmetics but it looks like it could be fun and affordable!

9. WHY does everyone think women are "brand loyal" and use each and every item in a single makeup line? I use a Dr Denese foundation and a Lancome mascara, and a Revlon pencil, a MAC lipstick and a specialty brand eye shadow used in TV makeup. I use what works best for me.....

12. Well after trying all the above for more years than I want to admit, I have been using DHC cosmetics and skin care products for the last 3 years and nothing is or has ever been better.

13. I love Beauty Control for skin care...at 55 my skin is lovelier than ever before, people actually comment on my skin! It pays to use great products such as those mentioned here, as well as the BC! I also have found Aveda to be nice for the lipstick, as well as some of the Academie (salon) products. Don't you just love playing with makeup?

14. I love Bare Minerals / Bare Escentuals make-up. I must own every color from several catalogs. I have been using this for over 7 years now. I love the no experation and that it's concentrated, so it lasts much longer.

16. I've used Mary Kay for years and I've also worked for several of the Directors in our area as an office assistant. Mary Kay was an extraordinary woman who truly wanted to give women a way to not only earn an income and still put their family (and God) first, but to grow and develop as human beings.
To my knowledge, only Mary Kay has a dual-marketing system. You purchase product from the company and you sell it. There is no hierarchy/pyramid and you don't have to recruit to make money, although it is encouraged and rewarded. I doubt it's still the case, but at one time, over 80% of the women in America that made over $100,00 a year, were Mary Kay Sales Directors. It's a phenomenal company and the products are absolutely amazing! I'm 41 and people always mistake my age for about 30! Why would I use anything else!

17. Who cares if there's a repeat story about make-up? I love it and I love to talk about it and see what other women are using. Mary Kay is my number one favorite but I can't get away from Lancome Definicils mascara. It never clumps and it looks natural. Best eye-shadow primer is F.Y. Eye available at Sephora. Mary Kay's eye-make up remover is the best I have ever used and the best value. I am 44 and people say I look 30. I am a walking ad for Mary Kay. It just seems to agree with somewhat dry skin, which is what I have. HAVE A GREAT DAY!

19. I have the hardest time wearing makeup. I try to apply it but feel like I look like a clown. I've even tried to have a "pro" do a make-over, at the cosmetic counter. I ended up looking like a tramp. I'm 44, have spent alot of time in the sun and my skin is starting to show it. Lots of uneven patches, age spots and freckles. I wish I knew how to go about figuring out the maze of makeup.

20. I have just tried Acona skincare, which is SUPER!!! I have tried just about every high dollar line out there, and then some. This line tops them all, and is all so affordable! As well, Mac eye shadow in Butter. Smash Box, for a good base and foundation! And a great mascara is Bourjois Maxi Frange in Navy! this mascara is affordable and has a lash extender on one end and mascara on the other. Makes super lashes and no clumping!
