t 4 PM he would drop everything for the show. He is officially the only person I know who was an avid Judy fan. Don't get me wrong, I have watched plenty of The Judge in my day. But I feel like it is not the kind of show that you sit down and watch on purpose ... but somehow when it comes on, you can't stop watching. The thing that makes the show remotely appealing (at least to me) is the fact that Judy is so mean to the defendants on the show. The thing is, I always thought that her sharp tongue was just an act. It turns out that in real life Judy may not be as nice as I thought that she was.
Two separate lawsuits have been filed against the show by former employees. Both claim that the environment on 'Judy' was toxic and that they were wrongfully fired from the show. One instance involved age discrimination and the other was racial discrimination. Wow -- for a show that is supposed to bring justice, isn't that almost an oxymoron?

3. I'm sorry you had to read some guy respond with his commercial. I have watched Judge Judy a couple of times and found her to be unfairly harsh and rude. i hope she doesnt pride herself in these qualities but she should feel shame, people are coming to her show with real problems and she ridicules them like the comedian will Farrell or whatever his name is, they are both idiots!!!

4. Judge Judy may claim to have been a real judge in previous years, but I would only speak the truth about her.
She is a complete mockery of the judicial system throughout the US. She may be earning thousands of
dollars, but I venture to say more than 90% of the
state supreme courts would have her permanently disbarred because of her actions. Her comments to plaintiffs, and defendants are a complete violation of each party's legal rights. I know she would absolutely be barred from ther bench in my state, and would also receive a very heavy fine running into perhaps millions. Impeach her! ! ! !
An honest retired judge.

5. The way that Judy conducts herself is horrible. No human being should be subjected to the abuse that she deals out under the umbrella of "JUSTICE". Sure there are jerks that she deals with, but it is suppose to be a court room. Her justice is comparable to big time wrestling----just SHOWTIME!! Shame she wears a robe..She should wear a mask and a devil suit for appropiate reasons...

6. This article is awesome "Allie," what you don't understand about Judge Judy is that you have to filter out the voice and listen to the message she's sending. She is a very bright person who bases decisions on logic and basic problem solving principles. She is given biased and mostly useless testimony but has to come up with a fair agreement between two parties. Not only does she make good decisions, she is able to filter out lies and come to a conclusion. It is good television and the woman is great. Great article. I'll be sure to read them more.

7. Judge Judy isn't for everyone. I am reading all the hate. The problem is that people don't understand the position she is in. The people that testify before her are mostly lying and leaving out pertinent facts to the case.Sure, she could be more caring and protective of people's feelings, but that is lame. I don't respect people that water down what they really want to say. I would agree that sometimes she speaks to the cameras but 80% of it is her telling it as she she's it. It is the reason why people tune in to watch Simon Cowel or the show House, or Hell's kitchen. They are all shows that have people that speak their minds in a unfiltered and impolite manner.
