Cellulite ... it is like a four letter word to most women. If you have it, you don't want it. If you are lucky enough to not have it, you want to be able to avoid it. This is such a hot topic that I knew that people had to be coming up with crazy ideas about how to get rid of those unwanted dimples.
Now I knew that there were creams and I thought that in extreme cases lipo would probably get rid of cellulite, but there is so much more than I imagined. Since I know little about the subject, I thought it would be a good idea to see what cellulite removal options people were looking for on AOL Search.
The first search on our list is for "detox for cellulite." Can you really get cellulite detox? There are also treatments as benign as cellulite soap and range to a cellulite patch. What could possibly be in that? And I have never heard of a cellulite machine ... but maybe it works?
Have you found any good treatments out there? Try searching for cellulite treatments on AOL Search or you can check out AOL Body for more info.

1. Cellulite is rough. I have been a personal trainer for 7 years and work exclusively with women. Cellulite afflicts both the young and old as well as the thin, heavy and fit. I have found no cream or potion to work long term. There are a few things that can help.
Working out helps. If you are prone to cellulite, working out will not rid you of it, but it can help reduce it.
Drinking water and getting a good night's sleep helps your body to work more efficiently.
Anticellulite shoes and anit-cellulite insoles tone muscles and increase intensity of your workouts.
MBT makes a great shoe and is available at Bliss (http://www.blissworld.com) The shoe is not proactical to walk around in however and sell for over $250
Smartsole makes an anti-cellulite insole that fits in all sneakers and flat walking shoes (for about $30) and can be worn all the time. (http://www.smartsole.com) I personally love this as it is easy just to add to daily routine.
Do both weight training and aerobic work. Maintaining muscle mass as we age is very important.
Make sure you have enough calcium in your diet. I personally love viactiv chews. A great source of calcium and it is like having a treat.

2. I tried Smart Sole last year through the recommendation of a friend, and I LOVE it!!!! It's an insole that's not only really comfortable, and I think has made my sneakers last longer, but...and I'm not sure it can deserve all the credit, but definitely some...my butt's never looked better ;) Somehow that back of thigh area is looking much less jiggly and I don't think it's my imagination.
Thanks for posting, Tanya!

4. Try ENDERMOLOGIE!! It's a french massage machine made specifically to flatten out cellutile and smooth the skin. I had seriously deep cellulite on the front of my thighs were I could see it every time I wore shorts and it grossed even me out. This was a miracle machine. It is hard to find a salon that has it here in NJ - the owner of the one I went to moved to Fla... and took her equipment :(

6. I have used Acucups and they have worked wonders!
For $20, this is the best choice. They are like suction cups that you "suck" onto your thigh or other cellulite "problem" area and you simply massage back and forth. It gives an extremely deep tissue massage. If you don't want to do it yourself, you can find a massage therapist and have the procedure done in an office.

The Serum can be used with the cream and scrub or all by itself, its exclusive blend reduces the appearance of puffy thighs, hips, arms and buttocks. I am going to Mexico and needed something that worked. And this does! My legs look soooooooo much better. And the nice thing is they offer a 45 day money back guarantee! www.jeannelechner.myarbonne.com go to shop online and then to the Vanish 8 Cellulite System.

8. As has been stated in the other comments, good diet, exercise and I found a great alternative to endermologie or risky surgery. It is Bio-Genie. It has its origins in France as well. Very affordable, relaxing, almost feels like a massage. The best part is the results. Not only did I have inch loss instantly (4" my first session), I had a reduction in my cellulite and a side benefit of diminished stretch marks. I opted for 3 treatments over a month and was COMPLETELY satisfied with the final results. Not only did the inches keep coming off I feel better, more energy, skin looks better and of course a great self esteem boost! I live in Stuart, FL and we have lots of shorts and bathing suit weather so being able to wear those things without worry is fantastic. From their brochure it is called: Cellular Electro-Aesthetics. All I know is it worked for me - it has been 9 months since I did it and all is still good!!The website is www.biogenieusa.com Worth checking into.

11. All of you are just trying to sell some.Quit trying to get people to waste their money for your own gain. Everyone should Google Acoustic Wave Therapy and see what it says. It's the new thing and it is less than $100 a treatment. I saw several videos and it looks promising. It is the same therapy they use to break up kidney stones.
I hear there are only 150 Dr.'s in the US that do it but I am sure it will get more popular.

12. I've had cellulite since the tender age of 8. The only time I haven't had it was when I was extremely thin 122 lbs. On my big boned 5'8" frame, 122 lbs is like looking at a skeleton. I plan on starting up a work out plan and my college this summer. I was practically born this way though. I have cellulite all the way down my legs and I really don't think anything would help. I was a very active child and participated in dance, soccer, gymnastics, etc. Has anyone one else been dealing with this for a really long time? I'm 24 now, and I still hate to wear shorts. Please reply if you've found a way to get rid of long-term cellulite (short of starviing myself to death). Thanks ~ Sarah

13. I tried zylene and liked it. I don't know what it did for cellulite, but I lost weight and it gve me energy. I ended up buying it through www.zylenebody.com. The woman that runs that site is very nice and actually responds to questions with lengthy knowledgeable emails.

14. I love my smartsoles, but they are not good in high heels. They ONLY are good in sneakers, flat boots and walking shoes. The site is actually running a sale right now http://www.smartsole.com I had bought mine on Amazon and it was more money.

15. Tara, zylene did work for cellulite along with drinking tons of water and following a great plan that I also got from Zylenebody.com. That site was great! It is the only authorized seller that I could find that put me on a great eating plan and workout regime. I speak to them once every 2 weeks or so. They give me support and other ideas to maintain my loss. I tried cellulite creams and other "fads", none worked like zylene and the diet plan from zylenebody.com. I recomend this plan.

17. Sarah Firebaugh - I totally understand where you are coming from. I am 31, and I have never been overweight, yet I have fought cellulite for what feels like my entire life. Girlfriends don't believe me when I mention something about it, because I have such a petite frame -- but I have ample padding in the butt and thigh area, and it's really dimply. :( It doesn't matter what size you are; it's your genes which predetermine your cellulite. I grew up in a very athletic family and participated in dance and track, so lack of activity was never a problem for me either. What drives me crazy is that I have friends who have never been nearly as fit/active, and yet they have no cellulite or very little. I am obviously cursed by my genes to have this stuff, but I'm doing my best to fight it. My cellulite goes most of the way down my leg, and the only thing I've found that makes any difference is simply cardio and weight training. This regimen won't make it go away, but building up the muscle mass beneath the cellulite improves its appearance. Also, stay hydrated (I have often struggled with this) and you might want to try the deep tissue massage. I've heard this works very well, but it's costly and you have to keep having it done to maintain the results. I can't afford it, so I'm just determined to stay as fit as possible with the weight training, cardio, hydration, and eating right. No matter what, DON'T starve yourself to get back to that skeletal 122! Aside from the extremely dangerous health risks, this kind of practice would most likely cause you to actually have *more* cellulite in the long run. When we don't eat, our bodies are forced to look for "food" internally, breaking down our muscle tissue and turning it into *fat* for fuel. This would result in a significantly less toned, less attractive, and dangerously unhealthy you. So not only would you look skeletal, the skin would be loose and flabby because you'd have no muscle mass.
Sorry this is so long-winded! I just feel your pain and instantly related to your comment. You're not in this alone! There are a lot more of us out there fighting the same fight. It just stinks that society seems to expect us to look professionally airbrushed. :-P Hang in there, get your water, and hit those weights and cardo machines! And in the meantime, I'd be happy to commisserate any time.
-Paige

18. Sarah, I can completely relate. And don't bother losing any weight because even that doesn't get rid of it. With all the interest in cellulite I have to believe that someone will invent the cure SOON. And not something just to reduce it, I'm talking something to GET RID OF IT. So hang in there, there's a lot of us out here in the same boat.

20. i have found that cutting out soft drinks can help reduce cellulite. I cut them out for 6 weeks and my cellulite was gone, however i worked out on a regular basis at the time. But I really believe it helps significantly.
