I am kind of a perpetual hypochondriac. My friends make fun of me because I'm constantly looking up symptoms for things online. After over a year of blogging about what people search for, I know I am not the only one who does this. People are constantly going online to learn more about health topics. Last month I did a post on women's health topics so I thought that it would only be fair to talk about the health topics that men are searching for as well. There are some interesting things that came up in our results. Since I am not a man, I was not really versed in what a lot of these topics are. I have definitely learned a lot today!
The #1 search that came up was for prostate cancer. I know that this is a really big health issue. Men are searching for everything from ulcerative colitis to prostatitis to hair loss. They also want to learn more about vasectomies and indigestion.
Is there a health topic that you go online to learn more about? If you think that you are experiencing any of these health issues you should go see your doctor. You can also learn more by searching for men's health on AOL Search or going to AOL Health for information.
Top Searched Men's Health Topics on AOL Search:
1. Prostate cancer
2. Urinary tract infection
3. Ulcerative colitis
4. Hair loss
5. Vasectomy
6. Premature ejaculation
7. Insomnia
8. Impotence
9. Prostatitis
10. Indigestion

61. Who wrote this piece? There is no author or credentials noted. How does the unknown author know what gender is doing a particular search? Do better AOL, if you want me to take you seriously. By the way, in your sentence "I know that this is a really big health issue." The word "that" is unnecessary.

62. My hair fell out, I soak my teeth in a cup, I get it up every couple of months, and I'm happy as hell. No more pressure. I can finally stop and smell the roses.

63. I am appalled that people are promoting products here, especially Mona Vie... I have been using, and home marketing, LIfeForce International products for over 10 years now and someone who knows this tried to get me to switch to Mona Vie... well, he practically begged me... maybe he bought a ton of it after believing some bs that he would make a mint... sorry, but all you have to do is read the label where it says all the fruit 'juices' in it are 'from concentrate'.. anyone who knows anything about nutrition knows that juice from concentrate is overly processed, has no nutritional value and is highly acidic; and not in a 'good' way like orange and lemon juice... if you want some 'real' nutrition, 'e' me; jtblifeforce@aol.com...

64. Get your testosterone levels checked. Yes, men have hormones too. Low levels cause weight gain, lack of libido, loss of stamina, low energy, blood sugar problems and really grumpy men. Levels of testosterone can begin declining in the twenties and go downhill as the years pass. That test should be a part of every check up for men. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and get it checked.

65. Something tells me that the person who went looking up this list overlooked one that is VERY important to us men----kidney stones. For us men, passing a stone is like a woman giving birth. I had to have one surgically removed because it was too large for me to pass.
Also, I have heard of ulcers and colitis, but never ulcerative colitis. I think that you are combining lists.

67. It's rather odd, I think. My daughter, who is a lesbian, (I am gay) accused me of defining myself by my sexuality. I tried to teach her that I defined myself as I was defined! No more, no less! No matter what my other characteristics were, I am defined by my sexual orientation. My daughter is a lesbian who refuses to shave her pits or her legs. Has only worn dresses as a child, when she had no choice. Only wore makeup once in her life, yet she obviously felt she was not defining herself as a lesbian. We should all have the gift of seeing ourselves as we are seen. As to men's health issues? Men, in our society, are viewed by their "masculinity" which includes the scope of their individual sexuality. Does it take a rocket scientist to realize that is why men concentrate on their genitals as much as they do? Or, to be more concise, their entire reproductive system! We, all of us, male or female, define ourselves as we are defined! The irony of it all is lost on most. When we buy into the group mentality, we are no better than they are. Ignorance is cureable, LEARN! Stupidity, when you will not learn, is terminal!

69. Yes it is embarressing especially if you are talking to a female doctor, or the nurse at the doctor's office waiting room asking you in a loud voice why you are there. Stress is the #1 cause of most of our problems, and by controling stress we can fix or reduce most of the problems.
I am using a product that was designed by 1200 Russian scientist to control stress, it is called "Tunguska Blast". I sleep really well, I have more energy, and it improved my stamina and mental clearity.
You can research "Tunguska Blast" and see what it can do for you.

71. Everyone knows that baldness is due to a mental condition. If one looses his hair in front, he is a thinker. If he looses it in the back, it is because he is sexy. Those who loose their hair both in front and back do so because they think they are sexy.

73. Been there! Prostatitis for over 30 years, PSA rose rapidly from 0.8 to 2.8 in a year (normal is less than 4.0) had it biopsied and was prostate cancer. Had surgery in 04 and am doing well. The message get your PSA done annually and jump on any rapid rise even if it is less than 4. Chronic prostatitis is a risk factor for the development of cancer even if you have no family history. Don't wait, it is curable early.
