My neighbor recently bought the cutest little Beagle the other day. Buddy (the puppy) is really cute and after playing with him for over an hour, I realized it might be time to get a puppy. Then I thought back to my childhood and remembered how much work it was for my parents to raise a dog. I'm not certain I am ready for that yet. But I thought it would be interesting to find out what types of dog people are searching for.As you can see Chihuahuas are at the top of our list. Is it because the Chihuahua is the smallest breed of dog in the world? They usually weigh around two to three pounds as adults. Yes, those are the dogs that you see popping out of certain celebs handbags. Other small dogs include pugs and Yorkshire terriers. I think pugs are so cute with their wrinkly faces, although they do tend to breathe loudly and are very hyper.
Did you know that poodles are one of the most popular breeds in the world and are a symbol of elegance? Poodles are available in many different colors and come in three different sizes: miniature, standard and toy.
The Siberian husky -- known as the sled dog --and golden retrievers are very popular family dogs because of their friendly and patient demeanor. German shepherds ,on the other hand, were originally bred for herding sheep are now favorites for law enforcement and the disabled.

82. I have always had a black lab ever since I can remember, they are the best with kids and grandkids, but my daugher adopted two pit bulls and they are nice. People should give this breed a break.

84. I think that papillons are the most lovable dogs. We have a female that just had puppies. 2 girls and 1 boy. We are have a hard time of letting them go to there new owners. We decided to keep the little boy. I just have to keep one of them. We also have a border collie, she is very smart.

85. Heelers, Heelers, Heelers! Also Border Collies & Blue Laceys. I also enjoy Jack Russells ( I prefer the the old school name to Parsons) I don't have any, but the minature dashunds have more personality than any dog alive!

89. WARNING!!!! Yorkies are hard (almost impossible) to potty train. Had one for 3 years, even had a doggy door put in. Pottied in front of the doggy door and than ran out when you saw it. Would take him out to potty come in and 15 minutes later would potty in the house.
Cute as a button though.

90. Have loved and lost a yellow Lab and a Beagle. They were both the best dogs ever. I didn't choose either of them, my ex-husband "had" to have the Lab, but couldn't be bothered with him after the divorce, and the Beagle was a jailbird who was being evicted from his home. I wasn't ready for another dog just yet, but I found a large Chihuahua (never cared for little yapper dogs) on the freeway offramp and she has turned out to be the sweetest little angel....with babies on board.

91. I have 1 Mini Schnauzer Studd Muffin and a Tea cup Pure White Schnauzer,, Sassie. Schnauzers are the best breed I have ever been blessed to have in my life. I agree that they are true, loyal, and protective and not to mention Beautiful!!!

92. How can you not have the Shih Tzu on the list? I had a great little black and white one for 15 years. now I have a little red head for 4 years. Very loving and full of personality. I was thinking of adding another one but then I decided to go to the shelter and add whatever is there that needs a good home and a playmate.

94. We own and operate a small kennel. We breed and raise Chihuahua's, Yorkies, and Beagles. All three are great family pets and are great with children.
No one seems to tell people that Yorkies love to be outside, just as much as Beagles and Chihuahua's.

100. We picked up a long-haired Chihuahua at a garage sale a couple of years ago. I've never been a "dog" person, but this little dog is my precious little angel. And everyone he meets wonders why anyone would give up this personable little dog. We have been blessed.
