My neighbor recently bought the cutest little Beagle the other day. Buddy (the puppy) is really cute and after playing with him for over an hour, I realized it might be time to get a puppy. Then I thought back to my childhood and remembered how much work it was for my parents to raise a dog. I'm not certain I am ready for that yet. But I thought it would be interesting to find out what types of dog people are searching for.As you can see Chihuahuas are at the top of our list. Is it because the Chihuahua is the smallest breed of dog in the world? They usually weigh around two to three pounds as adults. Yes, those are the dogs that you see popping out of certain celebs handbags. Other small dogs include pugs and Yorkshire terriers. I think pugs are so cute with their wrinkly faces, although they do tend to breathe loudly and are very hyper.
Did you know that poodles are one of the most popular breeds in the world and are a symbol of elegance? Poodles are available in many different colors and come in three different sizes: miniature, standard and toy.
The Siberian husky -- known as the sled dog --and golden retrievers are very popular family dogs because of their friendly and patient demeanor. German shepherds ,on the other hand, were originally bred for herding sheep are now favorites for law enforcement and the disabled.

102. Pugs are HYPER!? Where did THAT come from! We've owned a pug for 12 years and hyper is hardly the word I use for the breed! Noisy, yes, but hyper? No way!

105. We have a Bichon Frise who is just the cutest dog ever, and a Bichon/Dachsund (Dox-chon)pup who is great watchdog and playmate. Not too big, not aggressive at all. they love you no matter what.

107. GERMAN SHEPERDS ARE #1 IN MY BOOK!! The AKC ranks the Sheperd #3. I have 2 sheperds and they are a lot of fun! They are easily trainable and very intelligent. I love the alertness that the Sheperd has. They are very good with children and with other dogs. they are on guard and herd us, it is funny! They are very family oriented and love to be in the same room with us.
Our 2 year old is from a rescue. We got him when he was 10 months old. He was rescued at 7 months old! Our puppy is 5 months old and what a spitfire. Full of energy. We got her from a breeder. So we have the best of both worlds!
I LOVE THE SMELL OF WET DOGS AND PUPPYS!

110. I so much loved reading everyone's comments. It seems there are dog lovers everywhere. I love dogs too. I had a poodle who was bigger than a toy but smaller than a minature, 8 weeks to 12 years. Wonderful loving dog. Broke my heart when she passed on, to this day. Few years later, I took in a 10 year old, combination, shepard and collie. Wonderful dog, sweet dog. Being mistreated for stupid human error. But I had her for 5 years and loved her to pieces. God Bless all of you, furry loving people.

112. Love all dogs! It's fine to have a favorite breed but PLEASE do not buy from breeders! It is TRAGIC that thousands of homeless dogs are destroyed every year for lack of a home. Adopt a dog from a shelter.

113. My loves for 2 decades (that sounds so old) have been dauchsands..7 to be exact and generally all living in our house at the same time...they have all left us now except Toby and he's 13 now. They are black, red, mahogany and long haired...nearly all.

114. Before you ever buy a dog - know the breeder also why not check through rescue - there are rescue for every single breed. There is a major over population of dog including the favorite breeds and more go to shelters than most people would like to think about. So think of rescues first - I have Bichon Frise and they are wonderful and all are rescue dogs.

118. It’s great to see so many favorites. To bad for me since I could never pick just one, I’m out. At this time I have 3. A Pit-Bull who’s the best dog I could have ever taken out of my courtroom and am happy I saved her life.
A mixed Teri that was given to me after helping out a client in a court matter and a pain in the butt Lhasa who at times, I’d like to chock for the things he does but yet would kill for him. Thanks to him I’m out 10 grand and have to hold off before buying another baby. This time I’m buying but I think it would be a toss up between a Mastiff and a Great Dane. If I can get my husband to move out then I’ll buy BOTH!!
If anyone by chance is looking to get rid of any puppies please email me. I see so many, who like to buy with out thinking and then in weeks dump them, which is disgusting. I see many too who will breed and then realize that their not easy to sell, So again please email me DON’T DUMP THEM!!
Believe me by giving your unwanted puppy to me, They won’t be sorry. They’ll have a great life. Ask the 10 thousand dollar Lhasa I spend weeks fighting with Vet’s over his medical condition and thanks GOD proved the vets to be wrong! So email me if you have a puppy you don't want before dumping.
