Almost every Sunday, NASCAR is one of our top searched terms. With so many people addicted to the sport, I thought it would be fun to find out who the top searched NASCAR drivers were.NASCAR has grown to become the second-most popular professional sport in terms of U.S. television ratings, ranking behind the NFL. Its 75 million fans are considered the most brand-loyal fans in all of sports and as a result, NASCAR has more Fortune 500 sponsors than any other sport.
I've never been to live race before but I have heard it's pretty amazing. I can imagine the adrenaline rush the drivers get speeding around the race course and trying to avoid crashing.
As you can see our top searched driver is Tony Stewart, who currently drives the No. 20 Toyota Camry and is sponsored by The Home Depot. Stewart made headlines this year after he allegedly punched another driver during a meeting with race officials.
Following Stewart is four-time champ Jeff Gordon, he drives the No. 24 Chevrolet Impala and his primary sponsor is DuPont. The late (but still immensely popular) Dale Earnhardt is fourth while current points leader Kyle Busch is seventh.
Did you favorite NASCAR driver make the list? If not, tell us about him or try searching for NASCAR on AOL Search. Don't forget to check out AOL Sports for the latest news on NASCAR.

181. jr did win the Daytona 500 in 04, and a few other races. Puts him up there with Kyle Petty and a few other also ran drivers.
Kyle found our long ago that being the "son of" does not improve your ability, jr has not keep up with the average of sr in wins and will always be known as jr because he will not be able to make a name for himself.
I doubt if he will ever win a championship, even like sr did, not by winning races but just stay in the top ten, sr proved you don't have to be a winner to be the champion.

182. http://www.northcarolinatouristguide.com Nascar's roots are here in North Carolina and a big majority of the drivers still live here. It is amazing at how much this sport has grown. http://www.texastouristguide.com Texas along with the Lowes motor speedway is another beautiful race track to go with the wide variety that Nascar has added nationwide.

184. You know - we are all given "free will". What that means is that we have a choice as to what we like and/or dislike. In other words, those of you who are taking the time to post your negative remarks about this sport and the drivers that we all love.....
don't you think your time is better spent by posting something positive about something that you do like? You're not being forced to watch and read about this sport. Honestly, I don't think it will hurt any of our feelings if you left us to ourselves to enjoy this sport that we all love.

186. Love NASCAR. Favorite driver Robby Gordon. As to the comment these men are not athletes YOU TRY IT!
Robby is a first-class athlete - he runs the Baja 100, in all kinds of weather; runs the Dakar Rally over the Sahara - a 17 day race of endurance and hard driving test on the machines and he also does NASCAR full time. He also water skis and does jumps, etc. The comment these guys are not athletes is just CRAZY. Joan

192. How many of you people actually looked at the list of most popular driver searches? Dale Ernhardt was #4 on the list. Matt Kenseth should have made that list or even Kurt Busch. Well, I guess they can't all be the top 10.

193. Some one else isn't paying attention, Jeff Gordon passed sr's total victories early last season.
He will be third or possably second in over all victories when he retires.
Has anyone ever seen jr with a girl?

194. I think Nascar has screwed the sport up. I've been to Bristol and it was exciting...and Martinsville, and Richmond. I know they are trying to make it safer but all it is now is BORING!!!!!! And Diretv's programming was not worth 1000.00+ a year...As a fan from the early 2000's, racing has taken a turn for the worse!!!!!!
