Almost every Sunday, NASCAR is one of our top searched terms. With so many people addicted to the sport, I thought it would be fun to find out who the top searched NASCAR drivers were.NASCAR has grown to become the second-most popular professional sport in terms of U.S. television ratings, ranking behind the NFL. Its 75 million fans are considered the most brand-loyal fans in all of sports and as a result, NASCAR has more Fortune 500 sponsors than any other sport.
I've never been to live race before but I have heard it's pretty amazing. I can imagine the adrenaline rush the drivers get speeding around the race course and trying to avoid crashing.
As you can see our top searched driver is Tony Stewart, who currently drives the No. 20 Toyota Camry and is sponsored by The Home Depot. Stewart made headlines this year after he allegedly punched another driver during a meeting with race officials.
Following Stewart is four-time champ Jeff Gordon, he drives the No. 24 Chevrolet Impala and his primary sponsor is DuPont. The late (but still immensely popular) Dale Earnhardt is fourth while current points leader Kyle Busch is seventh.
Did you favorite NASCAR driver make the list? If not, tell us about him or try searching for NASCAR on AOL Search. Don't forget to check out AOL Sports for the latest news on NASCAR.

81. And just where is Kevin Harvick on this list???
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that Kevin has really matured these past couple of years? And, for those who think he is just some rich, spoiled kid.... well, hey - that has nothing to do with what makes him a great driver.

83. The most absurd article I have ever seen. It is evident the author knows absolutely nothing about the sport, there was no need to mention that he had never been to a live event. Can't wait to see the next article on football by an author who admits he has never seen a game.

86. I am an avid Nascar fan. My guys are Jeff
Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. I have been
to Texas Motor Speedway several times to watch the Sprint Cup. It is exciting and
amazing to be there with 250,000.00 people. If you ever get a chance to go, it
is well worth it!

88. I think Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is the most popular driver of his time. The others are also very good, but not as popular.

92. I think it's 'telling' that most of these top 10 are unmarried. I prefer a man with 'class' and probably the most methodical driver in NASCAR, who rarely has an incident that harms his car or himself, named KEVIN HARVICK.

93. WOW! SMOKE is the man, I can understand why he is the one who gets the most attention. Most people don't realize all the wonderful acts of kindness our TONY STEWART does for the children at the (VJGC)Victory Junction Gang Camp, not to mention all the other people he helps. If that's not enough people need to know that he is a Tremendous Talant in a race car of any make or model, and came from having nothing to all he is and has at this time in his life and the most important thing of all, he does not forget were he came from and who helped him get there. Opionated and all, not afraid to express it.
Gotta Love SMOKE!

94. i love all drivers, tony stewart included, but i think he REALLY needs to win a race this season, because the unknown agreement was that if he wins a race, his crew gets to cut off a lock of his hair, then after the race, he would get it cut short. and i HATE his long hair, so GO #20!!

95. As far as active drivers Jeff Gordon is the best, if you put his record against Dale senior he beats dale everytime. Also back in the day if you were champion you got choice of pit stop every race, now you have to win the pole position every race. By the end of the year Jeff will be somewhere around 3rd place for all time wins.

96. You can talk about Smoke all you want, but when it comes down to the facts.Jeff Gordon has won more races than any driver driving today. One day soon he will bypass Dale Sr. Gordon is the best on the circuit today. When you look at the stats, they don,t lie.Come on>>>...

99. Jeff Gordon and all Hendricks cars are the best! Then they added another great driver Earnhardt!!!!! The best team of ALL TEAMS! They have skill and guts something very few have.

100. I agree with all of the other Kyle Bush comments - he is an arrogant little jerk that needs to be put back in his place. He's one driver who needs to have been "trained" by Dale Sr on the track.....if he could've "intimidated" Kyle a bit, I bet Kyle would be changing his ways by now!
By the way - those who have given up on Dale Jr might want to re-think things a bit. Who's the only driver at Hendricks that's consistantly done well each week???? All he needed is some good equipment and a team that's run by a good owner. Give he_ _ this year Junior!!!!! See ya at Texas Motor Speedway next week!
