I remember the day my mom told me I was old enough to wear makeup. I was so excited that I immediately went out and bought Maybelline eye shadow, lipstick and blush. At the age of 16, I thought it was the greatest makeup ever. It was about the time I graduated college that I decided to graduate into the higher end cosmetics.
With so many great brands to choose from, my girlfriend and I decided to go to the mall and get our free make up demos. We found that Smashbox cosmetics had some fun products like the eye shadow trios and baked starburst bronzers. We also liked the shimmery lip gloss and blush that Bobbi Brown cosmetics created.
Now that I'm older, I find myself purchasing makeup based on how well it helps me conceal my age rather than how it looks. I recently started using Clarins and feel that their extra-firming foundation works really well.

103. I've tried pretty much every cosmetic brand there is. I haven't found anything that compares to Bare Escentuals. Everyone keeps telling me what beautiful skin I have. If they only knew the not-so-perfect skin that lies underneath! :) Bare Escentuals is the best!

108. I like some of the above, but, overall, I kept buying from Avon, because of continual new products and pricing..........so much so, that I decided to sell it. Avon has come a long way and quite surprised it's not on this list. Check out my site.

109. I just love how people try to use this platform to market their business. Especially all these Mary Kay sellers. I used to be a Mary Kay consultant and I was not that impressed with their products. Okay, some of their stuff works wonders, but the consultants try to make it sound like no other product will do the same, even though there are so many other good products out there. Mary Kay claims to be a Christian-based business but watch out if they try to recruit you. I know of several recruiters who lie to their prospects just to get that commission bonus. That is one main reason why I am no longer affiliated with Mary Kay.

114. This is supposed to be a good place to share your thoughts on the cosmetics you love. Not to bash other products. So what if you like M.A.C. over Mary Kay, thats your opinion, you should be able to say it without being rude. Everyone is different - we don't all wear the same clothes, why would we all wear the same makeup? Thanks

116. A previous poster mentioned (in response to my post) that Mary Kay outsells other major brands. Do you seriously believe that? If so, you are completely brainwashed and need to put down the "pink kool-aid".
Mary Kay is able to completely fabricate it's own sales numbers because it is a private company. It is not publicly traded and has no obligation to present actual sales figures to shareholders, etc.
Ask any former, and most current, MK consultants and they can tell you about the boxes of products they have stored in their closets or basements. Products they bought to "chase the dream". MK doesn't know how many products are actually sold to real customers because they can only track sales made to their own consultants. They frequently change their product line to ensure that their consultants have to buy more stuff to restock their shelves with the "latest and greatest".
Many directors "frontload" their new prospects by encouraging them to buy a "full store" as soon as they sign their contract, knowing full well that teh line is about to change and the prducts in their order will be completely obsolete. Mary Kay also rewards their consultants with cheap prizes for ordering products......not selling them! MK Corp. doesn't care if you sell teh product, as long as you keep ordering!

117. I buy it all. Dior, Chanel, Nars, MAC-- the best mascara ever is Dior's Show-- buy both black out (with Kohl) and the 2nd product (which I can't recall but any rep for them knows it) for really long lashes. I went on Obagi awhile ago, and at 54, don't need base. A fab moisturizer is Skin Food-- not really a cosmetic, but sold at Health Food Stores. Its amazing.

118. I "LOVE" Mary Kay products!! I have a great consultant that is just starting out with her business. She is the sweetest gal and loves what she is doing. Email her at www.marykay.com/karenserrano and tell her that Elizabeth gave you her name. She is the best and so is the Product. Especially the Miracle Sets!!

119. I have tried all of the above and nothing even compares to what I use. So ladies don't be fooled by high costing brand names that don't deliver. Last year I was introduced to Jafra Cosmetics International and never went back. The product is amazing and will blow any other company out of the water. So naturally I became a consultant so I could share the wealth with everyone I could. Not only does my skin look 100 times healthier but I make enough money to cover my house and car payment working just 3-4 hours a week. So if your interested in trying a remarkable product or want to make an extra $200.00 a week working very part time well then email me at fabiolaespitia@aol.com and I will be more than happy to help you out!!
