It's finally baseball time again. Which means most of my favorite things in the world are back! The smell of hot dogs and popcorn in the air combined with the sound of wooden bats and leather gloves at the ballpark signal America's pastime is back in full swing.
While opening day was technically last week in Japan when Manny Ramirez, Big Papi (David Ortiz) and the Red Sox split a two game series with the Oakland A's. The season began in earnest on Monday when thousands of people skipped work to head out to all the day time games at the ballpark.

41. Oh and Lisa, looks like your Jake got busted with something on his pitching hand yesterday. I don't think he will try that at Dodger Stadium next week when the home team gets to retrive the balls
****************
WTF are you talking about? Jake doesn't need anything extra to take care of the Dodgers...the man's a Dodger Killer. Funny I haven't heard anything about Jake being busted with a substance on his hand. Wishful thinking, Dennis?

My 3 year old granddaughter.
The Yanks are winning without the bats. Just have to keep the game close till the 7th inning and the opposition will get to meet Joba and The Sandman.

49. Victor Martinez of the Cleveland Indians all the way! He's a great catcher and a great hitter. And he's a wonderful, kind, gentlemanly guy that I know from personal experience since he lived upstairs from me during spring training in a condo community near Chain of Lakes Park in Winter Haven, FL. He's a down-to-earth guy, not a prima dona of any sort.

55. Yes Prince Fielder is a vegetarian and there is plenty of high cal. fatting food - you don't get chubby just eating animals flesh. Sports Illustrated - 3/2008 ran the artical. This Blog is just saying who my favorite player is + why - its not to be judgemental,to each his own. He has a kind heart and is very humane - I love him for it .
