Once a month my friends and I get together for game night. Sounds kind of corny, but it's actually tons of fun. With so many board games to choose from these days, the fun is endless.Last weekend we played a game called Quelf, which was actually hilarious. It's a game where you use your creativity, answer funny questions and perform ridiculous stunts. For example, one of our friends had her face wrapped in toilet paper and had to keep it on until someone rolled a six.
Wondering what board game to try out next month, I decided to see what the top searched board games are on AOL Search. To my surprise, many of the board games on the list were games I played as a child. I remember sleeping over my grandmother's house and playing Uno, Trouble and checkers. Those games were so much fun and, as you can see from our most searched list, these games are still very popular.
Other games such as Dirty Minds and Battle of the Sexes that showed up lower on the list are obviously skewed more toward the adult crowed. There are also some games that I've never heard of like Cluzzle, Blurt, and Gazootch. Have you ever played these?
Have any fun board games that you would like to share? Try searching for board games on AOL Search or check out AOL Shopping for some new board games. You can also play online versions of many popular board games at AOL Games.

21. Hilarium is the best. it's a charades game of matching, where there are two cards and when you see someone else acting out your card you both get a point.

23. Loved Scrabble. Had it for years and brought it with me to S Korea, Japan, as well as Taipei. I teach English so a good way for them to learn.
Here they play Ma jon and like it but really do not understand it. A nice game played by 4 people. You can see it played everywhere.

27. I have invented a new board game that accepts 4 players and is much like chess. In fact it has a regulation chess board in the center of the new board I created. 2, 3, or 4 players at once on my new board and two new pieces for each player. I am working on my patten and hope to market soon. If anyone wishes to know more about it you may contact me at du4art@aol.com I love the chalange of chess and now have made the game even more so by adding more players on the board if they dare to try.
The new board has 184 spaces on it. If you are up for it I will sell you one.

31. As I am a Nascar fan, my favorite is Tailgate Racing,
with 3 of the most popular tracks, Oval, Road & Drag Racing. It is a megasized board game that can be played by many on a picnic table with all the racing moves of the big boys.
Qualifying, Start, Drafting, Caution, Restart, etc. An absolute blast for everyone no matter your age. www.tailgateracing.com

32. That's really cool.! Quelf sounds awesome.
And my family has actually owned Blurt for a really long time. It's when there are 2 teams, and there is a huge deck of cards for each team. The red deck has certain questions and the blue deck other certain questions (I haven't played in a while obviously) but it's a really fun game!

37. I haven't seen the UNGAME mentioned. Wow! It's a great way to spend an evening. You will learn things about each other that you didn't know before. I've played it hundreds of times with people of all ages. You'll laugh and maybe cry, because people tell their life stories. It's used around the world to bring families closer together and heal marriages.

38. I compleetly agree, Clue should have been on the list! I love the movie! I am also a bit partial to Aggravation, partly because my great uncle invented it and sold the rights of the game to Milton-bradley. I also love Jenga, even though its not a "board" game. Even though this is going to compleetly date me, I also loved Girl Talk and Perfect Match. And what about Candy Land or Chutes and Ladders??????

39. When my children were small, I would keep mini-travel games attached to my keychain so we could be entertained while waiting in restaurants, etc. I also learned new ways to play old games.
For kicks, why don't you try reverse versions of checkers and tic-tac-toe? You are trying NOT to win. I had ONE PIECE left in reverse checkers, and still lost!
