I was watching 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' the other night when I heard Kim mention that she had to be popular if she's the number one search on AOL Hot Searches. Kim, we're happy to report, you are correct. Not only is Kim Kardashian a hot search term in general, she also took the number one spot on our most searched reality stars list.
This made me wonder what other reality stars went from being an 'Average Joe' to a 'Superstar'. So I decided to find out who the other the top searched reality stars were on AOL Search.
Looking at the rest of the list, 'American Idol' stars are pretty prevalent with (current and former) contestants like David Cook, Carly Smithson and David Archuleta. Lauren Conrad, Audrina Partridge and Spencer Pratt from MTVs 'The Hills' were also heavily searched. I wonder why Lauren's rival Heidi Montag didn't make it on our top searched list?
Padma Lakshm is also on our list. You may not recognize her name but Padma is the host of the reality show 'Top Chef,' which airs on Bravo.

22. Its a sad reflection on todays youth culture. These talent-less bozos "fame" is perplexing.
But thanks to shows like TMZ there 15 min wont end. Harvey Levin may be the Devil and and Ive never seen anyone look so uncomfortable in his own skin then that Spencer kid from the MTV show. He looks a little "special" in a short bus kind of way.

If all of us got our own life and stopped living through these people who are no more important than anyone on this planet and make tons of money off of us caring about them, then our own lives would become interesting and fulfilling. It takes a hell of a lot of arrogance to pose for cameras like they do. Sort of like the most popular girl in high school that was convinced that we all wanted to be her. Become something wonderful, become someone amazing. Small people talk about people, medium minded people talk about things, open minded people talk about ideas. 27. So-called reality shows are pandering to those who don't want to have their own reality. This might be considered inoffensive, but they keep shows with intelligence of the air. There shouls be one channel just for 'reality' shows. That way the rest of us could watch shows with good acting and plot with substance on other channels.

29. Okay first of all... I watch the Hills, and I love Lauren, Whitney, Heidi, Lo, Audrina, (and yes, perhaps even Spencer...). I also watch Keeping up with the Kardashians (and I love Kris, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe). So... before everyone runs to try and crucify these people for being on t.v. and calling them "fake" ask yourself something... Are you on T.V.? Do millions of people watch you? If you've never been on reality t.v. obviously not. So, let's see, obviously these people are smart enough to have a t.v. series "based" upon their lives--> they're smart enough to get famous and be making money off of their popularity. Plus I have read and seen that these celebrities use their popularity for charities and good humanitarian deeds (which doesn't get that much press --> so out of no fault of their own, people never hear about the good things they do, only the "dumb" things). That's my speil.
