I was driving down the highway the other day when I heard a blast from the past. It was Twisted Sister's 'We're Not Gonna Take It.' Do you remember them?I loved the '80s! Mohawk haircuts, big hair, fingerless lace gloves, leg warmers, Rubik's Cube, Shrinky Dinks, Smurfs ... the list could go on forever.
I wondered if people were as nostalgic about the '80s as I am. I decided to find out what the most popular '80s big-hair bands were on AOL Search. To my surprise, I found out many people are still curious about the '80s big-hair bands.
KISS , who formed in the '70s, were classically known for their crazy face painting but decided in the '80s to add some Aqua-net. Other bands such as Cinderella, Whitesnake and we can't forget Poison competed with them for the highest teased hair dos.
Speaking of Poison, lead singer Bret Michaels now has his own reality show called 'Rock of Love', where 25 women compete to win a date with him. The hit show just ended season two and fans are wondering ... will there be a season three? Other '80s bands such as Aerosmith and Motley Crue have toned down their hair and are still performing concerts for all their fans. Guns N' Roses is seemingly more famous these days for the album they won't release.
Do you have a favorite '80s big-hair band that did not show up on the list? If so, please tell us about them. Try searching for '80s big-hair bands on AOL Search or check out AOL Music for more 80s Bands. Also check out Spinner.com for band breakups or worst band photos.

81. From someone who refuses to let go of the 80's, Dokken was always one of my favorite hair bands and I always felt they were under appreciated.

88. OMG I loved big hair bands. I still do. And definitely Bon Jovi should have been on the list. One that I loved that I noticed wasn't on the list is Warrant! But all the other ones rocked too!

89. In the 80's guys like me got tons of girls because we wore more makeup than all the girls and hung out in the clubs. Local wannabe rockstars. By the way any of the bands produced by Beau Hill on Atlantic Records. Ratt, Kix, Warrant, and even Winger. Those bands were well produced and the songs were melodic.

90. SLAUGHTER, SLAUGHTER, SLAUGHTER!! This is gonna sound like some magazine promo, but it's not, I'm just an avid Slaughter fan, so here goes. Popular in the early 90's, but formed around '88, this band STILL rocks! You can find these guys on MySpace, and they are still currently touring. Frontman Mark Slaughter has a side project in Nashville, Tennessee where he lives with Matt and Gunnar Nelson of NELSON, Kelly Keagy of NIGHT RANGER, and Eric Martin of MR. BIG and their band is called Scrap Metal. Bass Master Dana Strum is touring with Slaughter as well as frontman of MOTLEY CRUE, Vince Neil. Drum master Blas Elias no longer tours with the band, but is a member of the Las Vegas act Blue Man Group at the Venetian, but the current drummer, Timothy Diduro receives raves. Jeff Blando, replacement for the late Tim Kelly, still kicks butt on the axe with the guys, so check out DanaStrum.com or DanaStrumUniverse.com for tour dates. If you are on MySpace, check out the page Realm of the Bass God, which is a tribute site for Dana Strum. Peace all! :^)

91. WHY ARE ONLY THE SAME OLD SATANIC BANDS LISTED. WHAT ABOUT THE TWO BEST CHRISTIAN ROCK GROUPS, THAT ARE BETTER THAN THESE BANDS LISTED. NUMBER ONE WAS "JOSHUA". JOSHUA HAD THE WORLD'S FASTEST LEAD GUITARIST WHO TILL THIS DAY SHREDS THE OTHER BANDS YOU LISTED HERE. ESPECIALLY A CRUMBY GROUP LIKE POISON. THE OTHER GREAT CHRISTIAN BANDS WERE STRYPER, AND GIANT. THEY ARE ALL GREAT MUSICIANS WITH THE GREATEST SONGS. THESE BANDS STAND APART FROM THE SAME OLD 80'S SEX AND DRUGS MESSAGE. THEIR SONGS WERE EVEN BETTER THAN POISON, RATT, AND QUIET RIOT.
