I'm so excited that the warmer weather is finally heading our way. Summer time is always fun for grilling out, relaxing at the pool and of course going to concerts. I'm tying to figure out what concerts I would like to attend this summer. I decided to find out what the top searched concert tickets are on AOL Search. I wasn't surprised that Jimmy Buffett and the Eagles showed up at the top of the list. Tailgating at a Jimmy Buffett concert can sometimes be more crazy than the actual concert.
I actually attended a Bon Jovi concert and an Elton John concert, but that was about 10 years ago. We had great seats for both concerts and payed only a fraction of the cost that nose bleed tickets for these concerts would be today. From Alicia Keys to Jonas Brothers people are willing to pay over $1,500 per ticket for front row seats. That to me is absolutely insane, especially for a tween band.
Are there any concerts that you are going to attend that did not make the list? If so, please tell us about them. Try searching for concerts on AOL Search or go to AOL Music to learn more about your favorite bands.

2. UNBELIEVABLE! Four seats center front for the Maryland Heights (St. Louis) show -- $2,500.00. Are you kidding me? And the Liberal media is trying to convince Americans that the Republican Party has this country is in a resession and that St. Louis is one of the places suffering in the housing slump! Right! I guess I'm dating myself, but I've never even heard of this guys! Who's opening for them, the Rolling Stones?

3. The Jonas Brothers are well worth every penny. I'm the parent of a teenager and I've paid crazy amounts for tickets...I'll admit it. That's because there music is positive and it keeps my teen from listening to some of that other stuff out there. My entire family can go to a Jonas Brothers concert and enjoy ourselves. This makes the experience worth it for me.

5. Aren't you familar with their new hit single, "When I Look in Your Wallet"? Hey boys, lets not go down in three or four years as that band that charged ridiculous prices for live concerts only to be never heard from again.

6. This whole ticket scalping thing is unbelievable, I cant believe that it is legal. The best thing to do is not buy and wait to buy at the venue. You can usually get the ticket for face value or close to it for a great seat but you have to wing it instead of having your evening planned out. I have gotten to where I refuse to pay the scalpers and until everyone stops doing it this practice will continue. This is the same model that has oil prices where they are.

7. Hey The jonas brothers i think are good. Well actually they are ok. You guys areb talented but you are just a style right now. Who knows in maybe a few months someone new could come out and you guys could be turned down. Fame sucks but if your good and you arent more of a style then you would be fine. I love to sing and act. When i grow up thats what im going to try to do. I think the best thing for the jonas brothers to do is if they loose their style then go on american idol. Is kelly clarkson a style??? No, and she WON american idol. Im sorry to be so strait out but its the truth. You guys are just a style your not the next beatles. You are talented though which is why you should go on american idol...

8. The Jonas Brothers are worth every penny I paid...I can take my entire family to their concert and we all enjoy ourselves. I'm just glad my teen is listening to such positive music. The prices are what scalpers are charging...The artists shouldn't be blamed for the high prices. I think a typical Jonas Brothers tickets is between $30-$60.

9. earlier in life - when bands really played their instruments...while living in Honolulu i paid $7.50 to see Deep Purple, their 1st show ever with Tommy Bolin - 2nd row seats. Maybe my tickets for The Eagles (pre Joe Walsh) were free, as were my 5th row seats for Alvin Lee. $5.00 to see Leon Russell, when he was riding high - probably about the same for Jeff Beck on the "Blow by Blow" tour. i would not pay $1.00 to see any of the horrid acts mentioned in this article...

10. A quick search of Ticketmaster showed some of the artists above charging $150.00+ for seats. Why anyone would pay that, or anything more, to see such crap music is beyond me.

11. Let me just start off by saying the Jonas Brothers are awesome. They are not a TWEEN band, Nick's 15, Joe's 18 and Kevin's 20. They are unbelieveably talented. They write all their own music, play all their instruments and put on a fantastic show all done LIVE.
If you haven't heard of the Jonas Brothers you must be living under a rock. They have appeared on Oprah, Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel.. the list continues. Their 2nd album was #5 on the Billboard and their past single, SOS, was #1 on iTunes. Their current single, When You Look Me In the Eyes, has been on all the top 40 radio stations. If you ask me, this is pretty darn impressive. And thats just the beginning of all their accomplishments.
They just finished up on their HEADLINING LOOK ME IN THE EYES Concert Tour. The turn ups for that were amazing. And now, the summer tour. YES, IT's GONNA BE A HOT SUMMER. This article is misleading everyone. No, the Jonas Brothers are NOT to blame for the ridiculous ticket prices. You can blame the scalpers for that. Scalpers KNOW that JB is sooo popular and that many people will be willing to pay whatever price just to be in the same radius as Joe, Nick and Kevin.
The pandemonium caused by the the Jonas Brothers is being compared to BEATLE MANIA, whether you like it or not. You can trust me when I tell you JB will be around for a long time and you'll be eating every single bad thing you say about them.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but if you're going to star bashing people when you don't know the facts or more importantly DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO THEY ARE IN THE FIRST PLACE, you should think again.
I have been a fan of JB since 2006. Yes, back then they weren't that big, and not many people knew of them. But if you just took the time to realize how far they've come and how much farther they WILL be going, it's an amazing thing.
TEAM JONAS

14. I've been in the ticket and travel business for 20 years and it was The Eagles back in '95 who first broke the $100 barrier for a cost of a ticket. The Stones shortly followed with $300 tickets and the rest is history. You have no one to blame but these 60 year old geriatric bands still thinking they sound and look good. I wouldnt go see any of these kids bands either, but you people were kids once too. You think your parents thought deep purple and jeff beck were worth paying money for back then? If these kids parents want to pay scalper prices, let them. your only a kid once in this world. we all grew up with our favorite bands and now its these kids turn.

15. Stay home and conserve gasoline and diesel fuel. Save your money for an education. Create you own music, be a participant and not an idle consumer of someone else's music. Do the same for all entertainment and sports, be a participant not an idle consumer and stay home to conserve fuel. Support the local guys who do not make millions and who are as good or nearly so.

16. Get a life. Learn to make your own music. Stay close to home and support the little guys who will someday be out of your league. When they started out none of these groups make a lot of money, and they are just as good if not better than they are later. Stay home and save gas and ticket money. Participate in making music and entertainment for yourself. The joy lies within you not within them.

19. part of why tickets prices soared is due the Who concert in Cincy back in 1979 when fans were killed due to being crushed into the stage. This caused the insurers to demand higher security at shows, especially stadium events. Comparing prices from yester-year to today is as ridiculous as comparing gas prices. I sell tickets myself and i doubt if people realize what you have to do to get great seats, it is not easy-purely supply and demand..while everyone condemns scalpers no one thinks they are over paid at their own jobs. I have yet to meet the guy who gives back money to his boss/company because he has too much. By the way, the ones who sell tix for the most is ticketmaster themselves now that they have a re-sale market on their web page. the fees on a $100 dollar ticket approach $20 as well.

20. People that pay that kinda of price for those tickets. Did they buy their Mother a Mothers Day gift?
If you did? Was it purchased at the Dollar Store?
