I'm so excited that the warmer weather is finally heading our way. Summer time is always fun for grilling out, relaxing at the pool and of course going to concerts. I'm tying to figure out what concerts I would like to attend this summer. I decided to find out what the top searched concert tickets are on AOL Search. I wasn't surprised that Jimmy Buffett and the Eagles showed up at the top of the list. Tailgating at a Jimmy Buffett concert can sometimes be more crazy than the actual concert.
I actually attended a Bon Jovi concert and an Elton John concert, but that was about 10 years ago. We had great seats for both concerts and payed only a fraction of the cost that nose bleed tickets for these concerts would be today. From Alicia Keys to Jonas Brothers people are willing to pay over $1,500 per ticket for front row seats. That to me is absolutely insane, especially for a tween band.

I'm going to a few concerts this summer and i only paid about a total of $300.Thats only because it's heavy metal and not some weak and pathetic teeny bopper bands or some has been marking up ticket prices just to make money off of u stupid rich ppl. make ur own music or listen to some REAL music for so me inspiration. you're not going to get any inspiration listening to alicia keys,jimmy buffett,jonas brothers etc. thats why it's called "pop" cuz it's short for POPular and it's the only reason why ppl like it.a bunch of untalnted,pretty faced young no at all bands is what i see. try listening to judas priest,slayer,iron maiden,megadeth. why? cuz they can actually play thier music and not make money off of u by marking up ticket prices.

43. To hell with payin that much for a damn concert ticket. Not to mention the biggest concert to come around this summer will be the Mayhem Festival, featuring Disturbed and Slipknot, along with many other bands. And those tickets were less than 60 bucks each for front row. And that doesn't mean that they are not as good as Jimmy Buffet or any other band. Anyone who pays over 150 dollars to see any band has got issues. I love my music too and try to get to every concert I can but really. And Im fairly sure that the era of the boy bands are over. Long live the classics and long live the true rock and roll.

44. Slayer_rules has an excellent point. Im going to see disturbed/slipknot at mayhemfest. For three tix my wifes, my stepson and mine was $190.00. When tix for Ozzfest go on sale I will buy some of those as well. Metal is loud, keeps you alive and most of the bands that brought metal to what it is today, are still rocking this world. Metallica, Ozzy, Kiss, Iron Maiden just to name some of the many.

Some of the bands that made metal and continue to make it grow, these bands are still touring today. Bands like Metallica, Ozzy, Motley Crue, Slayer, Iron Maiden just to name some of the many.

At the time, the $7.50 was harder to scrape up than $100.00 would be now....It's called Inflation Dude...

55. Just because the tickets are being scalped for this much, doesn't mean people are buying them. Try buying them on ebay a couple days before the concert. You can get good seats for less than face value. Or at the box office day of the show

57. Alright, i dont really know all that much about the other bands but for the jonas brothers i only paid 300$ for 6 tickets (50 a piece) and they were third row seats. the only reason they get so expensive is becuase of stupid ticket scalpers.

58. buy tickets on ebay day before the concert & get them for CHEAP. the high price brokers/scalpers unload them. just because they ask $1,500 for a ticket doesn't mean someone pay it

59. r u serious?????? the jonas brothers arent even that good, seriously. no one should pay that much. i jost got idol tickets for the summer that tour (YAY IM EXCITED) and we're pretty close to the stage and it was ONLY EIGHTY DOLLARS! no where near 1000

60. Actually, if people would just buy the tickets when they go on sale they'll be paying a reasonable price and get good tickets. I've never had a problem buying the day the tickets come out. It's the people who are lazy or make a last minute decision.
