The other day on the radio I heard that drinking from water bottles can actually accelerate the wrinkles around your mouth. Pretty crazy, but it actually makes sense. If you pucker up in the mirror you will see all those lines around your mouth that one day can be permanent wrinkles.I really haven't thought that much about wrinkles but it's never to early to start preventing them. I decided to find out what anti-aging creams were popular among our AOL Search users.
Not having used anti-aging creams before, I decided to read some reviews on the creams from our top searched list. Lifecell Skin Care received the highest ratings for its effectiveness and reliability. The only con for this product was the cost for a 30-day supply is about $200.
Other anti-aging creams that had good reviews but are actually less expensive included: Athena 7 Minute Lift, Jan Marini Age Intervention and Relastin Eye Silk.
Is there an anti-aging cream that you would recommend? If so, please tell us about it. Also try searching for anti-aging creams on AOL Search or shop your favorite brands on AOL Shopping.

1. I am a product junkie. I have tried all the expensive skin care products (Creme de Mer, Cr. Perricone, SkinCeuticals) My new favorite product is Hope in a jar by Philosophy. I buy it for $38 at Sephora..it was rated one of the best products of the year. I find it makes my pores look much smaller and gives my skin a nice glow. The 2 oz jar lasts me at least 4 months.
I buy all my skn products online at Sephora.com through an online shopping mall and I have been saving between 5-55% on my purchases at over 1100 stores online including Bare
Necessities, Sephora, Apple, The Gap, Target (great for soo much),
Macy's. I also wait for sales so I get my cash back and the lowest
price

The site is ugly, but well worth it.

2. I so agree with you Jenna. I love Philosphy products and Sephora always gives nice free samples.
I always get great compliments when I wear Amazing Grace perfume by Philosphy.
I never heard of water bottles giving you lines aroudn your mouth. I heard drinking from a straw did.
I am a weight counselor and the best advice I can give for keeping your skin taut and young looking is to avoid wild weight swings. Weight loss should be done in at a healthy pace and you need fat in your diet!
Here are a other few tips that I give out:
Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. If you can't be
perfect in your eating don't make the day a wash and start
"tomorrow".
Try to eat something you truly enjoy every day.
Try to eat tomatoes in some form..lycopene is great for all
especially men!
Get a pedometer and try to walk 10,000 steps a day.
If you don't get enough fruits and veggies take a good multi vitamin.
Try to get exercise in when you can. I have read about smartsoles on
many aol boards and they actually work, they increase calories burned
with each step and tone muscles http://www.smartsole.com
Join a support group to discuss food issues. I have found that good
old fashioned weight watchers truly is the best and not expensive.

And the best thing I did for myself as a single woman is get a pet.
It has reduced stress for me and added to my happiness.
Try not to eat your heaviest meal too late.
Don't hold grudges!
Again all are "tries". nobody is perfect!

3. There are great anti-aging products from a company named KARA VITA. The anti-oxident treatment they have has done wonders for my skin! I have also had a lot of luck with the Eye Tender (got rid of some dark spots at the sides of my eyes and helped my crows feet) and the Lip Tender (plumped my lips but is also good for fine lines). You can buy it at www.karavita.com
I too love the latest & greatest of products so thaks for the blog Heidi! And thanks for the great advice from Penny & Jenna :-)

4. My friend Richard wears amazing grace purfume. Recently we were in China and all the house wives were smelling him and giggling. They loved it!! He swears by a beauty secret that I recently started using and it's great, I swear by it!! We mix baby powder with water and make a paste and before bed we smooth it on our faces. When you wake up and wash it off the results are amazing. The cornstarch in the baby powder takes away that morning puffiness. Unbelieveable!! He's such a great friend.

7. How many products have you bought. Then when you get it home it is not what you expected or you find you do not like the product. And you go out and buy something different. Now you are stuck with both products. Mary Kay is the best! And if you buy a product that you do not like you and exchange it or get a refund. But the best part is that your consultant will help you find the product that will work best for your skin. Most Mary Kay consultants want you to love the skin you are in. Go online to find a consultant in your area.

11. Well get used to it. We will all age. There is nothing we can do to stop it. All we can do is look our best at that age. Most of our aging process is genetic. Get used to it. Take care of yourself, stop tanning, eat well and get used to it. Age happens to everyone.

12. I use The Olay Definity line. While it may not be the most potent line of anti wrinkle creams on the market, it does deminish the lines somewhat It also makes my face absolutly glow and I love that. And for someone who can't afford much more than Olay, it does a fine job for me.

14. I've used Cetaphil moisturizer (the kind in a jar that looks like shortening)for years and I swear by it. I started wearing it around my eyes at bedtime and under my make-up when I was 23. Now, ten years later, I am the only 33 year old I know who doesn't have crow's feet or laugh lines...and I'm a squinter. I am careful to only use it where I would have lines because it is pretty thick. It's about $9.00 and it lasts me a year, seriously.

15. I love the Darphin line, especially the Predermine Cream. But at $170 a jar, I think I'm going to have to give Hope in a Jar a try.....

16. You want to use something that actually works? Use Prevage. There are actually ingredients that do something noticable after the first use. Try the eye and you will see.

17. How appropriate this appear on my birthday...number 42. I'm a skin product 'junkie', (trying different things all the time), but finally found a line that works well for me and I'm cleaning out my cosmetics drawer(s). My favorite line is from Avon, ANEW. ANEW RETROACTIVE+ 2-in-1 Cleanser leaves my skin feeling clean, smooth, and never tight. There are two eye creams I love: ANEW Clinical Eye Lift and ANEW ULTIMATE Contouring Eye System (I use the Eye Lift during the day, the Countouring System at night). Moisturizing: ANEW ALTERNATIVE Intensive Age Treatment SPF 25 Day is a fab. & not too heavy. I don't break out with a any of these products, which I am prone to. After moisturizing, ANEW LUMINOSITY ULTRA Advanced Skin Brightener SPF15 UVA/UVB is the best! I can't believe the difference in my skin. I've even received a few compliments- a super feeling. At night, I use ANEW Ultimate Night Age Repair Cream with the Contouring Eye System. I was introduced to these products from an Avon Rep. and figured I'd give them a try. She thought I was in my thirties and didn't need the ANEW line yet...and all I have to say is preventative measures really pay off. I think the reason I may look a little younger than I am is because I use products which are designed for more mature skin. Anyway, I hope this helps those who are searching for a skin care line that does what it promises. If they don't work for you, there's a money back guarantee.
Have a great day!

19. Oops! I forgot one thing I use on my neck and it's not from Avon, but I found it at a discount department store and figured...why not? I love it- JOEY Egg Cream- Instant face lifting and countouring treatment with egg and honey, (told you I was a product junkie!) This is super for those who want to firm up a saggy neck, or who just want a little tightening, (like myself), on the neck, under the chin and above your chest.
Sincerely,
Ellen

20. ....The very best thing I have done lately for my skin is start feeding it......I have never been one for breakfast and forget balanced meals.....but I have in the last two months started having a smoothie for breakfast.....bought the book The Abs diet...have started just a few things...like add almonds in place of snacks...but the smoothies are the ticket....have lost approx 12 pounds doing nothing else....and i mean nothing else.....eat everything i used to....BUT the best part is the transition my skin has taken and the new energy....high protein drink with fruit and/or chocolate milk....wonderful.....i feel like i am cheating every morning on the way to work...like a milk shake....try it....honest i am just a plain Jane that feels and i know looks better.....p.s I do swear by Loreals eye defense...reduces the morning bags under the eyes and smooths
