I don't go anywhere in the summer without a magazine in my bag. Hanging out at the pool or on the beach just isn't the same without a good magazine to flip through as I work on my tan.
Deciding on which magazine to bring to the pool or the beach is the hard part. Every time I walk over to the magazine aisle at the grocery store, I'm overwhelmed by the selection. I'm interested in entertainment, news and women's health magazines, but even when I narrow it down to these categories I have trouble making a choice. Most of the time it comes down to glancing at the cover article, but when I purchase a magazine just for one article, the rest usually ends up boring me.
So, before I leave for the beach in three weeks I need some help deciding which magazines to take. To help me out, I checked out the magazines that are popular among our users. Cooking Light, PEOPLE and Consumer Reports topped the list. Other popular magazines included Sports Illustrated, TIME and Entertainment Weekly.
Do you know of any good magazines that did not show up on our list? If so, please tell us about them. Check out more from AOL Shopping or search for magazines on AOL Search.

1. Saveur is my absolute favorite cooking magazine and I'm also a big fan of Garden Design magazine. Both of the magazines incorporate culture and people into their articles. Definitely two to check out!

2. My favorites:
News: Newsweek
Women's: In Style, Women's Day
Entertainment: Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone
Other: Psychology Today, The New Yorker
Vanity Fair is excellent to take on a plane -- it has a little bit of everything!

4. I am a nother of 3 and I have eliminated a lot of my luxuries, no more mani/pedis, no more expensive Aveda hair products (the suave copy of many hair products is great and has the same ingredients) and I refuse to buy any food at the movie theater.
I will not eliminate my subscription to US magazine http://www.usmagazine.com The amount of enjoyment I get from thismagazine is better than therapy. I love when they show 2 stars in the same dress and have peopel vote who wore it better. I love celebrity gossip, especially when they show celebrities looking bad or having celllulite.
I also gave up my gym membership, and have gotten a better work out walking all over the place wearing smartsoles http://www.smartsole.com The smartsole anti-cellulite insoles cause you to burn more calories with every step and I know walk all over the place. There is presently a 15% off coupon till the end of the month http://www.smartsole.com The coupon code is SMART15

10. Marsha, thanks for the info on SmartSoles. I had read about the product before and was going to see if I could find them in certain stores, to no avail. AFter reading your post I went directly to their site and ordered a pair...and I appreciate the tip about the 15% off!
I too, guit getting the mani/peds. What a waste of money, when I can do it myself. And with that $50 to $100 a month I save I give it to a worthy cause, like to my humane society!

12. Reader's Digest!!! I love this magazine. It is a well rounded mag with poignant stories, health, current events, food, movies, music, humor and so much more. And best of all, it is small enough to fit in your purse.

15. I love magazines; the best and cheapest one I have ever found is called "ALL YOU" and the only place I can find it is in Walmart (which I really don't like to shop at) but for this magazine; I go in every month. I also have stopped the pedicures and manicures due to gas prices but will never give up having my hair colored!!!
