A girlfriend of mine has been getting VelaSmooth Cellulite Reduction treatments on her thighs and buttocks for about a year now. She has had about 8 sessions so far and is really happy with the results, but she does complain about the pain and every session leaves her bruised for days. I'm amazed that such great results can come from a procedure simple enough to be done at a medical spa.
Her great results have inspired me to look into some medical spa treatments, especially since I am going on a cruise this December and getting rid of a little bit of cellulite wouldn't hurt before I squeeze into my bathingsuit. I would never get plastic surgery, but the options available at medical spas seem like simple ways to stay beautiful as you age. Of course, it is always painful (both to the body and to the bank account) to be beautiful.
I did some research and found that there are several medical spa treatments available. Treatments can reduce cellulite, remove unwanted hair, smooth frown lines and wrinkles, repair sun damaged skin or acne scars, remove spider veins and to reshape droopy eyelids.
The most popular medical spa treatments among our users include laser hair removal, botox injections and microdermabrasion. Other popular treatments include chemical peels, collagen injections and mesotherapy treatment.
Have you ever had a medical spa treatment? Do you know of any good medical spa treatments that did not show up on our list? If so, please tell us about them. Try searching for medical spa treatments on AOL Search or check out AOL Yellow Pages to find the closest medical spa in your area.

To me being beautiful starts with being healthy and in good physical shape. For me it took using Zylene to lose my extra weight and now I look better because I feel better. There's nothing like being thin because it gives you confidence about the way you look.

2. I agree with Ryan in that being in shape is the best thing you can do for yourself as far as feeling beautiful. Sudden dramatic weight loss is not good and neither is yo yo-ing. Keeping at a healthy weight, wearing sunblock and drinking lots of water are important too.
I'm a weight couselor/motivator and definitely not a purist. I am all
for any tool than can help with weight loss as long as it is healthy.
Fad diets usually don't work, but I do feel that lower carb eating (not low or no carb, just limiting processed "white foods") in general is healthy, but I think of that as more of a way of eating than a fad. I account for the wine that I drink and make it part of my healthy lifestyle. I advise my clients that they can have wine, even in the losing part of a program, though it does slow down weight loss.
Here are a other few tips that I give out:
Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. If you can't be
perfect in your eating don't make the day a wash and start
"tomorrow".
Try to eat something you truly enjoy every day.
Try to eat tomatoes in some form..lycopene is great for all
especially men!
Get a pedometer and try to walk 10,000 steps a day.
If you don't get enough fruits and veggies take a good multi vitamin.
Try to get exercise in when you can. I have read about smartsoles on
many aol boards and they actually work, they increase calories burned
with each step and tone muscles http://www.smartsole.com
Join a support group to discuss food issues, even if seeing a nutritionist. I have found that good
old fashioned weight watchers truly is the best and not expensive.

And the best thing I did for myself as a single woman is get a pet.
It has reduced stress for me and added to my happiness.
Try not to eat your heaviest meal too late.
Don't hold grudges!
Again all are "tries". nobody is perfect!

10. I had my first Micro Dermabraision (SP) and I loved it and I will continue to do it. It was $80 at a Cosmetic Surgeon's office and worth every penny. She explained the treatments..at first you go every 3-4 weeks for 4-5 times and then once every 3 montsh. I'm not rich, but I'll make time and money to continue to do this. My husband noticed big time. He didn't know I was going to have this procedure done. Worth every penny ladies!!!!

11. I use Arbonne. I swear by it. I'm an actress on Broadway and in film and I have used everything. And because I love it so much, I sell it to make some money on the side. But this isn't why I'm posting. I work in the entertainment industry where they are BRUTAL to you. If you are over 25, you are considered old. Its a ridiculous business, and I try not to buy into it. I just believe in having good healthy skin, being enviornmental at the same time and Arbonne fits both. They are great! www.backstage.myarbonne.com

17. I use Rephase products after using many products over the years. It feels so light but it is very effective. I used to get chemical peels but a dermatologist recommended Bioscrub Enzyme peel because my skin was too sensitive, I use it weekly and it does not irritate my skin but makes it look smooth right away. Daily I use Rephase Ultimate, after a month I noticed my skin was youthful again. I purchase the product directly at http://www.rephase.com
I also excercise daily, eat healthy (high antioxidant and low fat foods) and drink plently of water.

18. I wish I could afford microderm, so instead, I use a skin buffer I bought at Walmart for $1.97 and Dove soap, while I shower I scrub my face and neck. When I get out of the shower, I use Oil of Olay, the old pink kind your grandmother used or the no name brand. I've been doing this for the past ten years, I'm 40 and people still mistake me for 29 or 30. Who needs the expensive stuff, that's for people with disposible income.

19. Your right we age from the inside out and it appears on the outside in. Anti-aging is a battle to be waged on 2 fronts unfortunately Americans waste so much money chasing the fountain of youth because we are not informed consumers. I learned the secret and now I am not only living it but I am sharing it.
