With summer here, many of my friends have been talking about one thing: losing weight. As we started talking about all the different diet plans out there, one friend asked, "Why diet, when you can just pop a diet pill?" Is it really that easy? Being completely naive about diet pills and diet supplements, I decided to pull a list of the top searched diet pills to find out what all the hype was about. I can see why Alli made it to the top of the list. According to their customer testimonials, this pill, along with diet and exercise, can increase weight loss up to 50 percent. However, Alli is known to have some nasty side effects as well. According to their website, you will pass something "that looks like the oil on top of a pizza" out your body. Are the benefits worth the costs? Find out more at AOL Body.
Did you know phentermine received FDA approval back in 1959? It's still the top searched diet pill today. It's strange to think people have been using phentermine for so long.
I have to say, I'm a little skeptical of all these miracle pills and I wonder if they really lead to healthy weight loss. There are so many diet pills that out there that I question how safe they really are. Some of these diet pills I have actually heard of like Hoodia and Hydroxycut. But what exactly are Meridia and Lipovox?
Dieting is hard! Quick diets don't help you lose weight long term and exercise regimens are hard to stick to. Maybe diet pills really are the best way how to lose weight effectively.
Yes, popping a diet pill does sound much easier than counting your calories or exercising, but do they really work? Have you tried any of these diet pills? And if so, what worked for you? Try searching for diet pills on AOL Search. Or, if diet pills aren't your thing, you can check out AOL Body for weight loss tips.

Zylene is the only diet pill that really works and it happens to be full of all kinds of good ingredients too, like resveratrol and antioxidants. Checkout how much weight this guy lost on his blog http://www.zylene4uweightloss.blogspot.com that's a serious weight loss product.

It seems to me that if a person has decided that they truly do not want to be overweight, they might use a diet aid, and whatever works best for them they will make it work over the long haul, because they are determined and ready to work at it.

I am currently using Diethylpropion under a doctor's care and have
lost 20 pounds in eight weeks. It has really helped me with cravings
and emotional eating. I am learning how much to eat at one time and
hope to continue that way when I am no longer taking it. No side
effects other than a slight difficulty getting to sleep at night. I
used Meridia several years ago and it only worked for three weeks. As
for Alli/Xenical- hideous side-effects!

I have taken Alli for 6 months and had absolutely NO side effects - none. And I lost 32 lbs. I have never experienced "oily" anything and have not had the "treatment effects" they warn you about. I realize I may be in the minority but this pill has worked for me.

i tied alli when it was first on the market. i followed there diet plan and even resticted it a little further. although i didnt not have any "side effects" i did not lose any weight from it. but i was only taking it for maybe, two months, after two months of taking this god send pill and not having any results, i decided not to spend the nearly 70 dollars a bottle anymore. but honestly, in all medical reports, the best thing to do, it cut as many calories as you possibly can. i did so, and in a period of maybe 6-7 months, lost a total of 80 lbs. and just recently started an excersise routine.

I used alli for 6 weeks and dropped 20 lbs bringing me to my ideal size 10, I did not have the " treatment effecst" because I followed instructions and ate lots of fruits and veggies with very little meat w/out skin,I also drank plenty of water, I only took one pill a day and only if I ate meat or anything greasy which was very rare. I workout 4 times a week and have kept the weight off for a year now but I WATCH what I eat.

I tried Hoodia, Relacore, and Slimquick. None of these 'aids' caused any side effects, but also, they did not help the cravings or do anything else they promised to do.

Have used alli and have had side effects but not to say that is a reason to stop. Seeing how there isn't any medicine with out side effects. I have tried phentermine, given to me by a friend and loved it . However, my physician will not prescribe it for me due to my thyroid condition. Which sucks, I have tried everything over the counter as far as appetite stimulants and phentermine is the only one that gave me ampule energy with out JITTERS!

On the contrast, i took ali to help aid my weight loss along with diet and excersize. The pill did produce the oilish substance but it did nothing else, no pain, aches etc, so it really isn't a much of a side effect...
By Lauren on Jul 26th 2008 at 9:18PM
i too ali along with diet and excersize and found good results. it did produce the oily substance occasionally but, that really shouldn't be considered much of a side effect considering there wasn't any discomfort or pain at all

i took phen-fen yrs ago and have irreversible damage. i will never use a diet again. it worked like a miracle then yrs later all the side effects came rolling around. i found when i didnt center my life around my weight and just ate 3 reg meals a day i lost 105 lbs in one yr with no excercise at all, i have severe arthritis so jogging and long walks are impossible.

I've tried Alli for one month and in its defense, I only passed oil when I ate MORE than 19 grams of FAT PER MEAL. But isn't it better to come out instead of turning into fat. You cannot eat more fat than the plan recommends for you. The goal is to learn to eat low fat foods thus losing weight, reducing cholesterol, and getting your butts off the couch and exercising.

I have been taking Alli for 15 days now. I have had no side effects or "treatment effects" as they call it. I have lost 14lbs. during this time. That is almost a pound a day.
