Weekends are always eventful, and this last one was no exception. Here's a quick recap of this weekend's highlights.In the world of sports, Antonio Margarito won the World Boxing Association title at an impressive welterweight match-up Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Margarito kept the pressure on his opponent Miguel Cotto until he finally surrendered his unbeaten record in the 11th round.
Jimmie Johnson is excited to have won Sunday's race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but fans were not too excited to watch. Goodyear and NASCAR were left to explain why tires could not withstand more than 10 laps, which, among the 11 yellow flags, made the race's longest green-flag run only 12 laps.
This weekend required caution off the race track as well. Cockpit smoke caused Southwest Airlines to make an emergency landing at Baltimore-Washington International Airport. The smoke was believed to be caused by fire, but later turned out to be due to a faulty fan. Smoke did signal a fire at Yosemite National Park, where a blaze continues to run rampant near the park's entrance and has destroyed several homes already.
On the gossip wire, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt say they want to have more kids. But will they be able to? The most recent additions to their family are rumored to have been conceived through in vitro fertilization. Family times aren't that great at Sarah Jessica Parker's house. News that hubby, Matthew Broderick, may be cheating on her completely overshadowed rumors that Parker underwent cosmetic surgery to have her famous mole removed.
While we thought the job market was bad in the US, the UN announced that the Gaza Strip has the highest unemployment rate in the world at 45%. Another report also showed that poverty in the area has reached a historic high with almost 52% below the poverty line.

It is so sad that Sarah Jessica Parker who to me ebodies a chic in shape woman has to read all over the place that her husband cheated on her with a hot redhead...who is 25. I've been a longtime fan of both Matt and Sarah.They aren't cheats.They have many years of marriage and a fine son.They have been in public and on talk shows and I have heard lots of praise from both of them for each other and their son.This mysterious redhead story is just a cheap media hype to get readers.Most of the media garbage you read about stars is false.I hope the public in general and other loyal fans of these two fine actors won't be swayed by media lies.Some of todays public are very gullible and certain media agencies like star and the enquirer prey upon their ignorance.I think the press and the paparazzi need to get a life by spending more time on real news issues,and stop trashing the private lives of famous people.

YES-YES!! Drill in Alaska, off of California and Florida as well NOW- I AGREE! Need more refinery capacities as well to produce gas and diesel! Improved car and truck fuel economy is needed! More Nuclear power, more solar power and more wind power would be GOOD TOO! NO MORE BAND-AID APPROACHES a little here and a little there......ENOUGH of that stuff! The guys in the middle east, His Majesty Hugo Chavez and some others are JUST NOT our friends. Time for the USA to develop alternate sources and more HOME OWNED/HOME BASED fossil resources too!

Many years ago I was a waitress at a very high class restaraunt/bar on the beach.......... Matthew Broderick happened to be shooting a film on the beach in front of it..... He was the most arrogant PIG I have ever waited on as were his ??????? (fellow actors? actresses directors?). I had no clue WHO he was? So no, I did not give him any extra special treatment? To me? Every person, customer etc were all equal. After running up a $1600.00 plus tab? I got a whopping 5% tip........... The most demanding table I had EVER waited on in my life. I RAN back & forth to the table. "Can I get you anything else while I'm here" NO! He had me wait & RUN until I neglected ????????? tables with his demands of "Oh & by the by we NOW WANT ?????" AFTER I had been there COUNTLESS times. I was so P/O'd still not knowing or CARING who he was? I took his 5% tip out to him in the parking lot where his limo was waiting? Said "Oh looks like you forgot something"!!!!!!!!!!! Handed his tip back to him & went back to attend to my REAL customers. The look on his face? Worth every penny. I know a lot of people are NOT SJP fans? Trust me he IS the worse of the 2. He had the NERVE to come back the next night? I passed on waiting on his table. We actually flipped a coin LOL to see who would get STUCK with him? Poor co-worker of mine got a 3% tip? Hollywood at it's finest! And nope was NOT in Hollywood. Santa Cruz Ca............. I hope she dumps him & his cheap ass! LOL!
