Have you ever had a health problem that you were too embarrassed to talk about? You are not alone. It is hard to bring up serious health concerns, especially the ones that make you blush just thinking about them. Some things are meant to be kept private, but that doesn't mean you can ignore your health issues. We are bringing these types of problems out in the open with our list of the top searched embarrassing health concerns.Though it can be intimidating to bring up your secret health problems to a relative stranger, your doctor should be the first person you turn to when facing an illness, no matter how embarrassed you are. Remember: they see tons of patients and probably have seen your same problem many times before. No matter how ashamed you are, it is important for the health of you and others to get symptoms of contagious illnesses, such as herpes symptoms, examined before it is spread to others. According to the Department of Health and Human Services, one out of five adults have been infected with genital herpes and there is no known herpes cure. It's not surprising then that it is number one on our list.
If you are still too embarrassed to see a doctor, look into over the counter medications. Some conditions can be treated with OTC medicine, but that doesn't always cure the problem and you might still have to see your doctor. Yeast Infections, number three on our list, has many different OTC treatments and cures.
You can treat other problems, such as hyperhidrosis, which is just a fancy word for excessive sweating, with more unconventional methods. If you have tried extra-strength antiperspirants, such as Drysol, and you are still having a problem, you may benefit from plastic surgery. Injections of Botox are used to disable the sweat glands in areas like your underarms.
Not all of the problems on the list are easily treated. If you are avoiding serious surgery for things such as incontinence, lifestyle changes may help make a difference. Try looking into adult incontinence supplies, such as adult diapers.

While my problems were not as severe as some of the conditions mentioned in the article I had a terrible problem with severely blotchy skin that developed during my last pregnancy. It got so bad that I rarely went out in daylight. I used to be so outgoing but having this terrible looking skin disease was turning me almost into a hermit. Then someone told me about Clay Essentials, http://www.flawlessskinessentials.com/ which is made from volcanic ash clay. Using their clay masques had an almost miraculous effect on my skin and now it's so good other women come up to me to ask me what I use to make it glow the way it does now.

I was obese, which was embarrassing for me my whole life, then I discovered Zylene http://www.health4wealth.com/zylene4u and over the period of 4 months I lost so much weight that my whole life turned around. Now I can look when I pass a mirror and like what I see

I agree with st8bizman. Being overweight is so hard for a woman. There are so many things that are acceptable in today's society, but being overweight is judged so harshly, especially if you are single. I finally took the bull by the horns and realize that being heavy was making me unhappy. I was not going to lose weight to appease my mom or therapist....I realized that I wanted to do it for me. Pills never worked for me, it was a quick fix. I went to weight watchers which taught me a way of eating http://www.weightwatchers.com. I learned it is an equation ...burn more calories than you take in and you are golden. I wear smartsole exercise insoles which cause you to burm more calories with every step. http://www.smartsole.com and I walk all over the place. I found a coupon code and bought a second pair. The code code is SMART15 and it saves you 15%

I've been heavy all of my life but it got to the point where I was so obese that I could barely leave the house. The effort was just too much for me. I had no social life and I had to have all of my clothes made to order. When I did go out children made fun of me. Then about a year ago I discovered something that finally was able to curb my appetite. It's made from a plant called Caralluma fimbriata. It's called Caralluma Burn and I order it online at http://www.theworldsgreatestsupplements.com/ Before I started taking it I ate all the time, nothing could ever help me stop. I've lost 80 pounds since then and while I still have a way to go I'm able to jog for exercise, I can buy clothes off the rack, and I even have my first girlfriend. I'm also healthier in every way and I hate to think what my life would be like today if I kept eating the way I used to. http://www.theworldsgreatestsupplements.com/

Many health conditions can be helped by the use of the whole fruit mangosteen juice. The mangosteen fruit from southeast asia has been used for centuries in that part of the world for healing. It has just recently been available in the US. The mangosteen containes 43 of the 200 xanthones found in nature that provide powerful anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. All disease begins with inflammation and free radical damage. For more information on the mangosteen go to www.insidemangosteen.com then visit www.getmangosteen4health.com

I've been over weight ALL my life. I was in an abusive relationship in my 20's and the man I was with put me on a diet. That was fine. But then it became an issue. If I didn't lose a pound a day (at least) he would beat me. No matter what I said he would not understand a plateau. Granted I lost 80lbs in 3 months, but I almost died from it. That little diet distroyed my thyroid gland. THAT has caused weight to come on even when I don't over eat. Plus it actually became emotional. I was afraid not to eat. I'm rid of him, but still have weight issues. My health is bad so I can't do exercise like one should do who's trying to lose weight. I finally lost about 50 lbs (in 6 months)and ended up in the hospital (not because of that). I stopped breathing and was put on life support for almost a month. They were feeding me through a tube in my nose over 5,000 calories a day!!! Before I went in the hospital food really didn't matter to me, I really wasn't hungry. After that hospital stay I'm starving all the time. I can't take diet pills my blood pressure won't allow it. I'm really searching for a way to eat (when I'm hungry) things that will help me lose weight. Hopefully soon I'll find a way.

Genital warts also known as HPV can be contracted by one's self. Contrary to what HPV info is misleading. HPV (warts) has a vaccine for girls only? This vaccine should be for all children as an early years vaccine like all other required chldrens vaccines. Anyone can get warts. I had one wart on my left index finger which became inflamed from washing dishes. During sleep I itched my torso, chest and neck from dry wintery skin and gave myself tiny warts all over my top body. I did not realize at the time that I had also in my sleep itched my vaginal area. 8 years later I found warts on my genital mucus area. SLS in toothpaste was the only thing that worked to dissolve the warts. It was painfull during 2 months of applications of toothpaste at least 2 or 3 times a day, but it worked. I also strecthed and flattened pieces of cotton balls onto the applications to keep the toothpaste intact folding my labias over the cotton.

I don't see this up there as a problem, but I know a lot of women
besides myself must have constipation issues ( I know so not sexy).
I have tried it all, laxatives, prune juice, bran cereal. Meanwhile
a product that I took to help my dieting solved my problem. It is
called fitflax and I read about in O. It is a flax blend that is low
carb and low calorie and tastes delicious. You throw it in salad, or
in yogurt or can eat it right from bag as it is roasted and tastes kinda
like penaut butter. The website is http://www.fitflax.com and I found
a promo code that gives you 15% off. It is FIT15
My other issue is my hearing is getting worse and I am only 38, but I
think it was too many heave metal concerts when I was young!

I know one that they forgot!! How many people search for lice information? It's at an epidemic high right now, afflicting children more than the common cold. I am sure people search that all day long, and that is DEFINITELY something people don't talk about!

I was an overweight person too. I used the Michael Thurmond (extreme makeover guy) diet. It tells you what foods you can eat that best suit your body type, you DO NOT sacrifice any food groups. It's a reduced calorie, 5 meal a day diet. You use it with EXERCISE. It worked for me, 54lbs in 9 months, and a maintained weight for 11 months now. The best way to lose weight... Reduce calories and exercise, not a fad diet :-) it's hard, but it works!

The best treatment for female urinary incontinence I have found is with the Athena Pelvic Muscle Trainer. It does Kegel exercises for you to make your pelvic floor muscles stronger. It does not have all the side effects of drug therapy and is a natural way to stop the leaking everytime you laugh, cough, sneeze or bend over. This sure beats surgery also. Now I do not feel like I have to constantly have to find a bathroom. You can read about this at Athena Feminine Technologies (www.athenaft.com).

How many people know about the disease (skin condition) Lichen Sclerosis? I had never heard of it before I was diagnosised a year ago June and would like to talk to others with the same condition.

I've studied this "overweight problem" extensively and have come to the conclusion that it's caused by eating too much and exercising too little.

I have Psoriasis and it is no doubt embarrassing. Luckily, over the years, it mostly disappeared as much as its going to, only showing up on my elbows and knees.

Iam going to suprise a lot of females here although men are subject to this information.I am 77 now, for years I went to 3 gyno's and my primary doctor trying for help on irration , sores, burning and itching,in the vaginal area. I went through perscription, over the counter meds. i daily did good hygeine I had scrapings taken for cancer. I had a dnc.Not one of my doctors found relief for me I could get relief for a day or so and began to suffer all over. One day I overheard a conversation that cured my problem.the information hit me right away from that day,I begin to give it a try and I have been free of this torture for over a years now. I told my gynos.and my doctor and they were very happy to spread the word on to their patients, none had ever heard this before Please believe this my problem was useing DRYER SHEETS IN DRYING MY UNDERWARE. I started to washing those and hanging them to dry,I am doing good now for a year. No problem WHAT A RELIEF AND SO SIMPLE. AND NO I DID NOT SUE THE DRYER COMPANYS. BUT ANY DRYER SHEETS CAN DO THIS . GOOD LUCK. MALE OR FEMALE THAT HAVE THE PROBLEM I AM HAPPY FOR THE CHANCE TO SPRED THIS GOOD NEWS.

We have come to a point in which people must remember that the one pointing the finger has more pointing back at them! We as a nation as a majority have gotten past the "race quotes" but can always look forward to some one with the mike to keep trying to make it an issue.

The listed conditional ailments are reasonably simple to treat as are a host of other medical challenges. It would be a great service to female and males alike to have treatment access made much easier by having such generally quickly diagnosed and remedied conditions done by (mid way) health clinics that (could be set up) so the cost and medical treatment is much more in line with the quickly cured types of cases that would otherwise be managed by emergency rooms and or other types of costly places. If you ask me - there's a huge need for the medical profession to establish cheap and easy access for people that have minor health problems that don't always require the attention of an expensive and time consuming physician/administration process that up to the current point has been responsible for wrecking so much havoc within the medical industry and for the public that desires a much more reasonable way to attain treatment for easily cured conditions. If the costs were made much lower in the way just described everybody would be much happier and it would help put a number of bill collectors out of business.

The lady with the Vaginal discomfort. I totally understand and by chance found the same cure although my solution was the added water softener (Downy) in my rinse cycle. I still use it but not in my underware cycle. Also Ladies (and for the sake of your children do not use fragrant bubble bath in bath water.
