Need a boost of energy? A cup of coffee and a can of caffeinated soda are considered "old school" now when it comes to getting your mid-day energy boost. From Red Bulls to the Starbucks Doubleshot, energy drinks are becoming so popular that I'm beginning to wonder, does anyone sleep?
While I've never had an energy drink myself, I have noticed as hundreds of different energy drink brands hit the grocery store shelves, and I've started to wonder, do these really work? They must work if people are still purchasing them, leading to the continuation of the energy drink craze.
Out of the variety of energy drinks out there, Red Bull takes the lead as the most commonly searched for energy drink. Other popular energy drinks include Monster, Rockstar, and Jolt. All of these drinks are developed to increase mental and physical exertion, but many people use them simply to stay awake.
Remember to drink in moderation. In the US, energy drinks have been linked to nausea, abnormal heart rhythms, and emergency room visits. Of course, you can always stick to the traditional cup of coffee, diet coke, or even some chocolate milk as an energy boost.
Do you know of any good energy drinks that did not make our list? If so, please tell us about them. Looking for an energy boost? Try searching for energy drinks on AOL Search or to purchase some energy drinks check out AOL Shopping.

The problem with most of those drnks is that they are full of chemicals, sugars, and all kinds of dangerous ingredients. It was just reported yesterday, from Australia, that Red Bull cuased blood to thicken. Many also cause the body to lose vitamins and minerals. I found a place online that only stocks natural supplements http://worldsgreatestsupplement.com/. We all can tell what will be best for our health in the long run and it isn't things formulated in a laboratory by chemists.

Allnaturalguy, I could not agree more and thats why I have started taking Zylene from health4wealth an all natural and organice weightloss and energy product.
I used to drink one or two red bulls or similar drinks a day but I felt like my heart was going to explode. I stopped that and started taking Zylene and since then not only is my energy better but I no longer crash when the drink wheres off.
On top of all that zylene helps me lose weight.

I am not a fan of sugar energy drinks (way too many calories) and feel diet pills are more of a short term patch. Alli, Zylene, Slimfast are not a long term solution.
I am a personal trainer and train mostly women in their 30's and 40's. I have found that ridding your diet of processed foods and walking really makes a diference. I recommend that my clients have low fat yogurt (banana axelrod is fabulous) with flax for breakfast and have found that for me and them the weight has melted off. I LOVE fitflax http://www.fitflax.com It is golden roasted flax with chia that does need to be ground and you can eat straight from the bag. It is low carb/low cal and tastes like peanut butter. I give my clients a code for 15% off which is FIT15
I am also a fan ofdrinking water. If you don't like water, tote a water bottle with a lemon juice, splenda water mis and try to take in 48 oz. It helps make you feel full!

I Love fitflax, I read about it in O mag. It tastes great and I lost 25 pounds. I throw it on salad and it is delicious. I sometimes just eat it from the bag. It also made my skin look great and keeps me "regular

I prefer to use natural herbs to get my energy boost. I find them online http://wmkffin.tk/ and I stay away from the so called energy drinks that are full of chemicals and end up depleting the body of vitamins and minerals' I don't think you could understand what the ingredients of those drinks are without a degree in chemistry. I know natural herbs can't harm mr. http://wmkffin.tk/

I tried this product called Awake and it really works. It has vitamins B, A, E and C, amino acids and minerals that provide antioxidant defense, long-lasting energy and mental focus without high caffeine or high sugar. Provides a gradual energy boost with no crash (since there is no caffeine) and antioxidant and cardiovascular support

VERVE contains a daily dose of VEMMA, possibly the planet's greatest antioxidant. It is packed the the vitamins and minerals we all need, especially athletes.

I'd love to share an all-natural energy drink with anyone who's interested. It has no caffeine, no added sugar, no preservatives, is diabetic-friendly, and has only 25 calories! This drink helped me kick a ten-year diet cola addiction. It gives clear, focused energy for 4-7 hours with no crash and no jitters. Plus, it's less expensive than any of the top ten drinks on the market. Please e-mail me for more information.
