Choosing a university or college is a very exciting and frustrating time for both students and parents. Prospective students flip through dozens of pamphlets, scan statistics and course catalogs, chat with student academic services and still can't make up their mind at the end of the day. Parents take their kids on campus tours and offer them unwanted advice on the top colleges. Ultimately, the choice is all up to the student and it is a hard one to make.My sister is searching for a college right now and I love hearing about her quest for the best college. Listening to her excitedly talk about the schools that interest her refreshes my many memories of college visits. Who can forget being herded around campus by a student walking backwards? Then, touring campus housing and 'university suites' (which are usually little more than dorms with a bathroom).
Still, there are more questions to consider when searching for a university education that can't always be answered with a campus tour. Do you want public or private? Which majors do they offer (maybe photography or forensic accounting)? Can you get in with your GPA and SAT score? And, most importantly, of all the great schools, which is right for you?
No matter which degree program you are pursuing, associate, bachelor, masters, or doctorate, there is a school out there for you. Now you just have to find the right one. I never thought that my daughter would make it to college because her grades were too low. I tried everything to motivate her and then I found this amazing program http://tinyurl.com/BrainPowerSystem . Her grades shot up in her last two years of high school and now she is doing fantastically well at Ohio State. It never would have happened without that program. http://tinyurl.com/BrainPowerSystem If you or your kids are not reaching your potential you have to look into it
