I had never been much of a coffee drinker until my trip to Hawaii last year. While I was there I discovered the delicious and rich flavors of Kona coffee, only available from the Hawaiian Islands. Since then, just the smell of fresh coffee beans or coffee brew makes my mouth water.Coffee drinkers are a dedicated bunch. They set their automatic Cuisinart coffee maker to brew their morning coffee the same way they set their alarm to wake them up in the morning. Or they stop at their favorite coffee franchise, like Starbucks, every morning on their way to work.
I don't need too much caffeine in the morning, so I like to stick with my one cup coffee maker. Though I like my Keurig coffee maker, I thought it would be nice to try some other types of coffee. I decided to get some suggestions by looking at what kinds of coffee people are searching for on AOL Search.
For a special treat, I am excited to try some of the gourmet coffee that showed up on the top searched list. Number seven, Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, has regional exclusivity like Kona coffee and a deliciously unique flavor. Gevalia Coffee carries a wide variety of gourmet flavors and roasts, including seasonal flavors. I was also interested in getting some green coffee beans and roasting my own coffee. What could be fresher?
If I need a cup of joe on the go, drive thru coffee, like Dunkin Donuts, is the fastest and I can get some breakfast. Green Mountain Coffee, number one on the list, is also great with food and is served at a lot of restaurants because they sell wholesale coffees.
There are so many choices. What is your favorite type of coffee? Leave a comment and let us know! Find out about more types of coffee on AOL Search and locate a coffee shop near you with AOL Yellow Pages.

WHOLE FOODS !!! They roast all kinds of gourmet (organic) coffee beans from "micro" growers all around the world. There big roasting machine pumps coffee smell out the roof and right across the parking area in front of the store. Gotta love old fashion marketing techniques. It really is a treat to visit the Whole Foods coffee shop (I think it's called Aleggro Coffee's) and smell the beans from from all these exotic regions of the wonderful planet Earth. They have them organized and marked with the date they were roasted. "Very Very Cool". I especially like the smaller sized beans I have noticed they taste the best. You can buy these whole and use a small counter top grinder at home right before brewing. Happy New Year!!!

The best kept secret in Brazil.
The Cerrado Region is where most of the Specialty Coffee comes from in Brazil.
Illy Coffee is the areas biggest purchaser.
What makes it different is the perfect growing conditions (synchronized seasons -climate, proximity to Equator, Altitude and soil management.
Cerrado Coffee is virtually untapped in the US.
A regional roaster in the Southeast has a direct sorce with Cerrado. Try Iron Brew Coffee (www.ironbrewcoffee.com).
You will be favorably impressed.

I cannot believe that the coffee grown in Yauco,
Puerto Rico was not mentioned in your list of best tasting coffee. It is pure Arabic grown on the
top of the mountain of Yauco and I guess one of the
best kept secrets in the coffee world - but how
fortunate for us that live on this beautiful island.

BOSTON STOKER coffees in Dayton, Oh. Thier coffee beans are roasted every week so that the oldest beans are never more than 7 days old. they roast thier beens to the desired taste on the palate, not like a lot of the well known roasters that roast everything to an espresso dark . Boston Stoker only has 9 coffee shops in the local area and will not expand out of the Dayton area, but they do have mail order available.

Daybreak coffee shop in Glastonbury, CT, where Hebron Ave tees into Main Street, has a wide variety of coffees, but their Sumatra Decaf is what does it for me, at age 84. They grind it for my home Mr. Coffee machine. Two level coffee measures makes for two eight ounce cups of good strength. Parking the car is no problem. Way to go!

Popular, Popular, Popular....It's more important what is in the bag than what's outside the bag. Inside the bag belongs to Bear Mountain Coffee Roasters. Properly roasted and fresh. THAT'S

I love Whole Food regular Columbian..reasonably priced which I grind myself. I found out about fitflax at Weight Watchers too. The same company makes an anti cellulite insole too that after I have 2 cups of coffee and my fitflax sprinkled on fruit I go for a 2 mile walk (New Year's resolution) wearing. The insoles fit in your sneakers and help you to burn more calories with every step.
I then go off to work (of course shower first) and feel great

I have tried coffee from 9 of the 10 on your list except for #10 Senseo.
I have found another choice for specialty coffee such as lattes and capuccino that I find to be superior in taste -- Seattle's Best
(although the quality is only as good as the person that "pulls" the shot of espresso).

I've been drinking coffee for almost 70 years. I grind beans at home and I like *real* coffee, not the flavored stuff. Trust me on this one, MacDonald's coffee is better than Starbucks. And better than Dunkinn Donuts. The best? Real Blue Mtn. beans ground at home. Feels like a mouthfull of silk and the taste is exquisite.

Have you ever considered drinking coffee and DOING GOOD a the same time? visit: http://www.landof1000hills.com
It is some of the world's best tasting coffee (they use highly graded bourbon arabica beans) and best of all, it FAIR TRADE coffee from RWANDA. It is making a huge difference in their recovery from the Genocide. It is freshly roasted in Atlanta the day before they ship it to you. It also provides microfinance loans to Rwandan women struggling to support and educate their children and orphans in their care. Coffee tastes better when it does this much good! I personally know the people in Rwanda and Atlanta who are involved in this and can vouch for them 100%. Thanks for helping with a hand up, not a hand out.

I am a advid coffee drinker. I still can't fathom how starbucks makes it to top 10 for coffee. Even with great marketing, myself and everyone I know considers starbucks very expensive swill. I would buy coffee from my local convinience store first. Also, where is Tim Horton's coffee on this list? 2nd best next to DD. Folgers would have been my #3.
