Are You Excited For New Fall TV Shows?

As the summer dies down, TV begins to ramp up. Starting this September, dozens of shows are making their premiere and viewers are buzzing about the hottest new programs. So grab the remote, popcorn and TV Guide and get ready for this upcoming season of action, drama, comedy and romance.

Topping our top searched list of new fall TV shows are two old TV shows. The first, '90210', is the newest teen soap spawned from the 'Beverly Hills 90210' of the '90s. Highlights of the revamped version include a hot new cast and appearances from the original crew. Number 2 on the list is the Hoff's old claim to fame, still featuring the talking coupe KITT. The original shows are classics for a reason, but jury's still out on the remakes.

Perhaps the eeriest new show of this season is a new 'X-Files' and 'Twilight Zone' type drama. 'Fringe' features an amazing cast an FBI agent and her son who are riddled by strange happenings, including a flight that lands with dead passengers.

Not into the paranormal? Don't worry, there is something for everyone. 'Gossip Girl' fans may soon become 'Privileged' fans with the newest rich-girl-drama. Megan graduates from one of the best colleges and ends up tutoring math for twin spoiled girls. If the glamor doesn't get you hooked, the drama will.

Think quick: Is your toilet paper roll folded over or under? If you answered correctly, you could win $5,000 in this new home invasion show. 'Opportunity Knocks' sets up a game show in your front yard and quizzes your family on aspects of their everyday life. Sound easy? Think again.

Only NBC could draw Christian Slater off of the silver screen for an action packed drama. In 'My Own Worst Enemy', he plays a split personality spy and suburban dad.

What is your favorite new show this season? Let us know! For more about the hottest debuts, search new fall TV shows on AOL Search or check out the Complete Guide from AOL Television.

Root, Root, Root for the Home Team!

When I was studying for my bachelors degree, football games and tailgating had no part in my university education. My school only had a semblance of athletics (no football or baseball teams) and an over abundance of politically active students instead. So when I listened to some friends of mine excitedly talk about going to see a game at their alma mater, I started to get excited about college sports too.

With college football starting up again, it is only fitting that we look at the one person that unifies all of the best college's sports teams: the mascot. I decided to put together a list of the top searched college mascots in the United States. Great schools have great mascots, and this list proves it.

Topping the list is a lovely English bulldog named Uga. The University of Georgia have celebrated this mascot since the 1950s and is now cheering for Uga VII. Another dog appeared on our top searched list, Texas A&M University has had eight different mascot dogs named Reveille.

Louisiana State University takes their pet mascot to the extreme with Mike the Tiger. They have had six different live Bengal tigers as their mascot, which caught the attention of more than just the fans. PETA asked the school to stop the tradition in 2007 when Mike V died, but the school stood by their mascot and his spot in their veterinary program.

Florida State University also fought for their beloved mascot after the NCAA ruled that they would have to stop using references to Native Americans in sports. The FSU Seminoles did not give up though and Chief Osceola still rides his horse down the football field.

A list of the top college mascots cannot go without mentioning Albert E. Gator. University of Florida students are such big fans of their team and mascot that the Princeton Review named them the number one school where students pack the stadiums in their college rankings.

What is your college mascot? Let us know! Search for more college mascots on AOL Search.

Searching For An ADHD Treatment?

My little cousin has ADHD and my aunt had a very difficult time finding a treatment for him. They have found that medication works best, but he went through a difficult time of changing prescriptions and dosages until he found a medicine that worked for him without severe side effects.

Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder can be hard to diagnose because each person's energy level and attention span is different. Most common indications are a pattern of inattention, easy distraction, and sometimes hyperactivity. There is no cure, because it is considered a behavioral problem, but there are different types of treatments.

Many doctors and medical professionals prescribe drugs to treat the disorder, but it is worth trying out some lifestyle changes as well. For example, changing your diet to limit sugar intake can directly impact excitability. Other more natural cures include a mixture of vitamins, such as Omega-3 and magnesium.

Each person will react differently to treatments. Natural home remedies may not be the only solution and you will still have to make some trips to the pharmacy.

If that is the case, there are many different types of ADHD medications. Check out our list of the Top Searched ADHD medicines on AOL Search. Do you know a treatment that works well for you? Let us know. If you need more information, search for ADHD on AOL Search.

What's In Your Cereal Bowl?

I remember every morning before elementary school my mom would serve me cereal before I headed off to class. In those days, cereal was all about which one had the coolest cartoon character, most sugar and the best prize in the box. The breakfast habit still sticks with me, though my tastes in cereal have become healthier since I've gotten older.

Cereal can be a great way to get your daily vitamins and fiber. I like giving my cereal a boost by adding milk for extra calcium and fresh fruit for added nutrients. It is easy to switch it up from day to day, but I also love trying new brands. I decided to get some ideas by seeing what cereals AOL Search users were searching for.

A lot of the cereals that appeared on the top searched list have hidden benefits. For example, studies show the ingredients in Cheerios can help lower your cholesterol. The Cheerios Challenge invites people to try Cheerios as a way to lower cholesterol 4% in 6 weeks. It is something everyone would benefit from trying out because the American Heart Association estimates that 36.6 million Americans have higher cholesterol levels than what is recommended as healthy.

Special K, number 6 on the list, has its own diet. The quick diet claims you can lose a jean size in 2 weeks by eating Special K for two meals out of the day. Losing weight and keeping it off is always easier with a healthy breakfast.

Which cereal is your favorite? Let us know. You can search for more cereals on AOL Search.

Would You Go This Far For Beauty?

If you thought plastic surgery was an extreme beauty procedure, think again. Spa treatments continue to get more and more strange, and many daring people actually test out these bizarre procedures. I'm sure some of these show wonderful results, but a 24K Gold Facial seems a bit outrageous to me. You won't believe some of the spa procedures that showed up on our list of the top searched unusual beauty treatments. Do people really do these?

Animals play an unexpected role in our top two therapies. The top treatment has you submerge your feet in a pool of fish for a Fish Pedicure, but prepare to be nibbled. Tiny fish come and suck off the dead skin from your feet and leave them feeling super soft. Then you move on to the octopus to get your toe nails painted (just kidding).

If you are looking for a natural cure for dry hair, try asking a farmer instead of your hair stylist. One London salon uses Bull Sperm Conditioner to perfect their clients' hair. I don't want to know how they discovered that, or how someone decided to put nightingale droppings on their face. Also known as uguisu, Nightingale Droppings Facials exfoliate and enrich the skin with natural enzymes.

Stars like Gwyneth Paltrow have been spotted buying Snake Venom Creams, which claim to inhibit facial muscle contractions. One product, known as Viprodex, is $250 for a tiny 1.8 ounce vile. Who needs Botox when you can get kissed by a kingsnake instead? Perhaps you could have a venom treatment while getting a Snake Massage, number 6 on our top searched list. One hour of these serpents slithering all over you will make your muscle knots snake away.

Another strange skin treatment sweeping through Hollywood is EMK Placental. Yes, you read it right. Number 8 on our list is made of the very thing that nurtured your growing fetus during pregnancy. Placentas are full of skin-fortifying minerals, antioxidants and amino acids, but can they rebirth your skin? The results may speak for themselves. Some celebrities with Hollywood's most baby-soft skin have been rumored to use it, like Eva Longoria and Madonna.

Normally, I wouldn't recommend drinking your bath water, but I changed my mind after hearing of the Beer Baths offered at spas in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. Lushes will be in heaven as they sip their favorite brew and relax in a tub full of lager. The active yeast in beer cleanses skin while Vitamin B treats it.

Have you tried any of these beauty treatments? Let us know! Search for more unusual beauty treatments on AOL Search and find spas near you on AOL Yellow Pages.

Searching for Great Fashion?

"I don't do fashion, I am fashion." These eternal words spoken by Coco Chanel have echoed through decades of fashion. You might say they are a bit dramatic, but I say they are true of any designer. Look at what you are wearing right now. Someone spent a lot of time designing that for you to wear knowing that you will not only look great but also feel confident wearing it.

Of course, everyone has their own style and taste in clothing, so not all fashion lines are for everyone. But you cannot deny the creativity, bravery and glamor of fashion designers. In honor of these hardworking icons, I decided to look at who were the most popular fashion designers among AOL Search users. Though some of the top searched designers on this list have retired or passed away, their influence lives on.

The high-end casual wear made popular by Ralph Lauren, the top searched designer on our list, lives on now in many different forms. The Ralph Lauren line has expanded to include more than his famous t-shirts with other products such as paints, women's golf clothes and perfume like Ralph Lauren Romance. Coco Chanel's line has also expanded beyond her iconic suits, worn by famous women like Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, to include Chanel checkbook covers, watches, handbags and sunglasses, to name a few.

Other fashion designers, who we are lucky to still have with us, evolve with the ever changing world of fashion and always keep us coming back for more. Marc Jacobs has several on-going brands, such as Marc by Marc Jacobs, that are each meant to appeal to the different sides of every fashionista. Other designers, like Calvin Klein, keep going with what they know best, like his line's bras, underwear and shoes.

Who is your favorite fashion designer? Let us know! Search for more fashion designers on AOL Search and find all of their best stuff on AOL Shopping.

Searching For a Foreclosed Home?

Foreclosures are one man's misfortune and another one's luck. On one hand, some ill-fated person is losing their house. The flip side is that someone on the market for a home can now get a great foreclosed house for a fraction of the value.

Foreclosed homes are more common than you may think. The current real estate market slump is causing foreclosure rates to soar and set new records. Just this month, Ed McMahon narrowly avoided foreclosure on his multi-million dollar home. Donald Trump was in discussions to buy the house and lease it back to McMahon, but the final buyer remains anonymous. McMahon's foreclosure problems are a magnifying glass for the housing slump affecting Americans of all income brackets.

Not everyone has a billionaire ready to back them up, so there are other options for how to avoid foreclosure. Some people seek down the best bank rates for refinancing, alternate financing and foreclosure loans. As a last resource, other homeowners declare bankruptcy in order to stop foreclosure.

People who want to search for homes can look at foreclosure listings across the nation. To help your search, we went ahead and looked at where AOL Search users were looking for foreclosure real estate. Of the many foreclosure properties on our topped searched list, California foreclosures and Florida foreclosures were the most popular.

Where are you looking to buy a foreclosure home? Let us know. Search for more foreclosed homes on AOL Search or visit AOL Real Estate.
